See, birthday isn’t until Monday but I already lapsed into that kind of headspace and ate like a fool today including a pack of the new white chocolate and gingerbread cookies from M&S. One little slip of the mental fortitude and I revert to eating like a child. Weekend’s probably going to be a write off and then I’ll be back in here complaining about feeling awful next week. Also, you know you’re getting old when you’re over the moon with a new electric toothbrush as a gift. Just tested the thing out and feel like I’ve been for a proper polish at the dentist.

Don't knock yourself, you've got to have a blow out once in a while, you are stringent the rest of the time, enjoy it!! You obviously like M&S Confectionery and so do a lot of other people! I think because we restrict ourselves, when we buy something we like we consume the lot. I'm the same with Chunky KitKats, one is not enough, a pack of five I like... Enjoy it mate and let it go for your Birthday!!

Even on your worst day you look better than 99% of the population.

Cheers for the well wishes folks. Diet’s obviously been AWOL. Just on the way back to Manchester now and I know my Mum’s sent me a huge Millie’s cookie and my brother wants to take me for some food too so a couple more days off the grid food wise and then I’ll be back to normal. Going to try to get in the gym when I’m back at least. The Mrs topped me up on my favourite aftershave and had the bottle personalised with a reminder not to leave it anywhere as I left my last bottle in Cape Verde. 🫠 But yeah had a nice few days and feel miles better than I did last year, was just recovering from my flare up on my 33rd and even going and grabbing a bite to eat was nail biting stuff because I felt like I could’ve shat myself at any time. Definitely improved since then. 🥴

I need to get to the HP studio, massive fan of the movies and the books, me and the missus watch them every year (just finished this years watch through last week). How'd you rate it?
Very good mate. If you’re a fan, definitely worth checking out at some point. It’s absolutely huge and seeing the set up close and the attention to detail in every piece is cool. Only annoying thing is queuing and people having their kids running around.

Not been able to diet very meticulously at all this week (been a write off TBH) as had a few things planned/little social bits which involved food. So body weight is likely up and I feel a bit heavy but I’ve had a nice time and training’s still been solid. I’m heading to Madeira next Saturday and doing some hiking over there which should be cool. Physique pic’s from today after legs and then some random bits and pieces from over the week.

And got this memory from 3 years ago from one of my favourite hikes to date so it’s got me in the mood for next week. 😎

Dude, even when you point out your diet has been off, you still look better than 99% of the population. Make an old man happy before he kicks the bucket and do a show - you will kill it!

Just don't kick the bucket too soon and once I've got my holidays out of the way and pull my head outta my ass I may give it a go. I know it'd be cool to do and I know I'd feel great if I really pushed myself and outdid anything I've done before but I've just gotta overcome little lingering worries I have and really lock in.

We're gonna hold you too it 😀
