I’ll give that a try, but the last time I tried gumtree some guy was wanting to come round with his laptop and “set it all up”.

I think I’m right in saying you can get one that’s plug and play? At most have to do a couple of simple steps, change settings etc?

Not fussed for all channels etc as I’ve never found any dodgy service reliable enough to cancel Sky, but just easy access straight to TV for free film apps, that doesn’t involve ****ing about on computers/laptop.

 

What are you wanting on the firestick?

I.e. are you just after all latest movies or are you wanting IPTV (all sky channels, sports & movies etc)

 

The more the better I suppose, but I’ve got Sky TV so it is mainly for movies that would otherwise be PPV.

 

Any ideas what they will be listed as?

They obviously ban the ads that they know are set up dodgy. They used to be listed as “jailbroken” when I last bought one but I can’t see anything under that now. Have they got a new codeword?

 

I recently Google how to jailbreak a fire stick, and a few people selling them already done popped up.

They forward you simple easy to follow steps and within a few minutes, you have access to pretty much every TV channel, movie, series, PPV, 3pm kick offs and porn.......

I just remember tearing my hair out one day setting up Kodi and stuff on an Android box I bought a few years ago. Can’t remember what was exactly involved but I have an excruciating memory of being very frustrated having to type in long server names/addresses and passwords using an arrow keypad, multiple times before finall

Was hoping to avoid a repeat but if it can be done in a few pretty straightforward steps I think I’ll just go for it.

I’m sure in the past every Tom and Dick was selling them pre-loaded so I was under the impression they were for sale everywhere but Facebook, EBay etc must have clamped down, banned them all.

Is there a certain generation of Firestick or just whatever they have?
