I should say so , drug rape ,kidnapped but if it's a strong male no I dont think they can .

I'm guessing most male rapes are done by other males or are strong older females praying on underage kids .I suppose when the word rape is thrown around we all automatically think of a strong person pinning down a weaker person .Forgetting about the likes of mental persuasion,black mail etc

If it's the same one I'm think of, yeah, it was a copper who exposed himself a few days earlier in a fast food place, and then killed a girl. But I know there's been a few cases like this recently.

The victim bears no responsibility whatsoever, but to come out and say men as a gender are to blame is just mind-blowing.

 

Is it victim shaming to say that it's women's responsibility to reduce their risk of attack by suggesting they take up some form of self defence?

Surely that's just taking sensible precautions?

Did read about some outcry about victim shaming in the this latest murder case, because police were suggesting women in the area didn't go around late at night. If some bloke was going round whacking blokes on the back of the head and the police suggested I stay in until they caught him, I'd suggest that would be some good advise.

 

Death penalty for domestic abuse, rape, murder ect let everyone else carry on as normal?

 

This would increase the number of rape -> murders. In countries where there is a death penalty, they are sure to kill the woman / dispose of the body so they don't get caught.

It's fu**ing staggering how some mentally ill individual praying on other vulnerable people has been made in to a sexist row.

Let's look at it for what it is. It's a sex attack by someone who clearly needs locking up. This isn't someone in a boardroom smacking the arse of a PA. This isn't sexist and it's a sad reflection of the state we're in when we start to see crimes like this being used to back agendas.

It wasn't a serious suggestion, they said it to show how everyone gets angry at suggesting men should be curfewed but nothing is said when it's suggested women don't go out alone at night.

And even if she wasn't being serious. Be under no doubt that they're are some women who would happily lock away all men for the rest of eternity as they see us a species to be to blame for all the worlds ills.

These surveys they ask women are a joke. They ask women if they've ever been whistled at, and if they say yes they instantly label that as sexual harassment even if the woman questioned doesn't find it offensive.

I loaded up Facebook this morning and it was a load of lasses posting some status about how I should cross the road if I see a lass on a night out, if I'm walking behind her I should stop and find another way home so she doesn't feel scared.

But that's just harmless fun for the ladies isn't it? I've been touched up more times than I care to remember but like you say, it's ok because I'm a man.

I wouldn't say it's a worrying development and some sort of 21st century attack on men, most of whom respect women. It's one member of the Lords, assuming the report is correct.

In any case this is nothing new. I remember similar calls for this type of thing when Peter Sutcliffe was on the loose.

 

Such bad taste. Honestly why focus on bollox when a woman has been murdered.
