I got 1kg of chicken from aldi the other week as my butcher was shut for the day and id forgotten, and it was good quality chicken tasty with little water in it just a bit more expensive than I normally pay

 

How much per kg mate ?

 

The chicken from the Aldi near me has been getting worse for how well trimmed they are. Taste decent though to me.

 

Butchers have been full ofor veins and abit fatty lately think they changed supplier also prices have gone up

 

Going to do a full weeks meal prep tomorrow thinking of going to AldI for my chicken. Ive just started shopping there. Tuna steaks are nice. Money u will save instead of going to big supermarket may suprise u 2. Ive gone from 60 to 100 per week to 40 to 65.

 

I usually go to Makro/Costco. £20 for 5kg chicken breast, or 5kg chicken thigh for £18. Local butchers does 5kg for £22 so there isn't much difference but I find the quality in their packs isn't as good.

I used to go to Aldi cos of the price difference. However Tesco have reduced the price of their chicken to almost the same cost. Saves the hassle of going to both stores to do a full shop and being in the company of Aldi customers.

 

Other than there rich tea biscuits i dont mind most my food is freshly cooked so i havent noticed a difference

I buy 5kg from musclefood as it's always good and never had a bad batch yet *touch wood*.

Gotta mix it up though ie, change the sauce, add chilli's and nuts, bread the chicken or have it as a breast etc.

I've been making huge pots of chilli lately, the saucier and spicier the better. Lasts me a whole week plus portions of noodles from Aldi

 

tastes just like every other bulk chicken you order.

9/10 times its from the same place.

person i know, does it with fish, they package the same fish one goes to aldi the likes the other gets a bit of lemon slice or mint leave added too it, then an M+S sleeve over it.
if I gave this fish to people on here they would say it was different.
