Suggestions please. I'm not after rediculously priced suggestions but my cabinet has slowly emptied over lockdown.

My favourite ever whiskey is Penderyn That Try, nothing comes close.

Glen Keith.
Glenmorangie Lasanta.
Jura 12.
Jura Diurachs Own.
Penderyn That Try.

All the above range from £30-£60. But if you look around on supermarket websites you’ll often find them on offer with up to £20 off at times.

I’ll try Ardbeg next.

Cheers @Saffaboy and @KETONES :thumbup1:

Only if you like peaty whisky, mind.  I did not think I would until I had my first bottle of Ardbeg.  It's a whole new level of drink, not one to get pissed on but rather sip and really enjoy.  Old Pulteney 12 is not as peaty and another really good option.

The more peaty the better, such a good flavour.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeee. It tastes like shite!!!

You sure you’re Scottish?!

It tastes fine,

If you don't take a dram and think its being sipped straight from a chain smokers ashtray its not peaty enough.

Some good suggestions in this thread but Teachers is cooking whisky.

For a cheap blend Grouse have bourbon cask edition which my local Spar is selling for £15 a bottle. Best I've had at that price.

For single malts up to 12yo the Old Pultney is one to try if you have not already, it has a very pleasant citrus note to it.

If you want to push the boat out and like a bit of peat then Lagavulin 16yo should give you a taste of the good stuff for about £50.

Ardbeg 10.  Best whisky in the world.

Yeah nice stuff! Red breast Irish single pot whiskey is good option if you don’t like the earthy peaty single malts...
