Advice for Sustinon

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I am about to start TRT Treatment with Sustanon 250. My starting dose is 1ml every 2 and a half weeks. I assume this is a normal dose?

Would you say its fine injecting with a 27G needle (0.4mm) Or would you suggest going larger? I was planning on injecting in my thigh. I am pretty lean so I assume it would go in Sub Q? I have 5'8 needles too which i could use.

As for getting blood work done to check blood /t levels, how often would you say getting them completed? My Red blood is Border-line high.

Thanks!

125mg is a normal dose, but you’d ideally want to inject more frequently then that, because of the esters involved. I’m on Sustanon and inject (split dose) every 3 days. I know some inject weekly/e10 days but 2.5 weeks is too long IMO.

I draw with 21g, inject with 25g, and inject ventrogluteal as it’s what I find most comfortable. Some do quads/delts/other...find what works best for you. IM injections, not subq for test due to the faster absorption rates.

Ta for this. I dont actually know the medicine dose just yet; I haven't received the proscription yet.  The doctor just said it would be around 1ml a week if i remember right.  Maybe i'll try 12 days for starters.  Split dose sounds good; i like the idea of that, also given that micro-doesing supposedly stops the blood thickening.

Would you not ideally want a slower absorption rate? So it lasts longer in the system? (Excuse my poor science knowledge!)

Sorry just realised I  mis-read your First post. 1ml of Sustanon 250mg is 250mg and you wouldn’t be doing that each week As that’s not Any type of TRT dose.

People do inject test subq - pros and cons to both methods tbh. Lots of studies and difference of opinion out there.

I would be hesitant starting testosterone with high levels.

Has your doctor found the root cause of your higher RBC?

250mg/ml E14D is a good dose, but sure your doctor will advise best protocol for you based on bloods/symptoms etc.

So a normal dose of 250 would be 10-14 days for typical TRT?

Honestly no....the RBC was a tad high in Feb, then came down to normal in march, popped up again in June and stayed one or two points above the normal range. The doctor said I was probably doing too much testosterone Cyp injections (though my levels never peaked more than 31-32, which doenst seem to me, anyway, too high.)

I'm going to see if I can work with a GP to monitor the bloods - I think i am more neurotic than they are!

So you’re not starting TRT, you’re already taking TRT?

Why would you want to switch from Cyp to Sustanon? Given the choice I would stay on the Cyp!

With Sust, It’s either lower dose more frequently or higher dose less frequently.  The longer time between injections, the more time it’s dropping out of your system. More frequently = Consensus is, generally more stable blood results.

If you look at most private TRT clinics or studies they recommend 5-7 days for Sustanon As a minimum, and around 100-125mg is a typical TRT dose. If you look at  the esters 3.5, 4.5, 9 and 15 days.  You can see 5-7 days is a happy medium. After 10 days only 1 ester is still “working”.

I wish i could stay on Cyp!!! Honestly. But the doctor wont proscribe it....I was pretty much told if I didnt want Gels, it was Nibido or Sustanon. Its a damn shame as the Cyp worked well for me. if i hadn't spent so much time and money with consultant urologists/endocrinologists sorting this out, i'd go to a private TRT clinic

I will get some blood work done on day ten to assess the Testosterone levels and if they are low i'll think about increasing frequency as per your suggestions :)

I'm on 125mg weekly and find this a good protocol. Doc said some patients split the dose. Sometimes I bump it up to 175mg but don't feel a whole lot of difference tbh. I started on Tostran gel and the rexommended starting dose had me at over 80nmol. My squats came on pretty fast in those few weeks lol.
