At which lengths are resistance bands giving their stated tensions?

You could always check with a scale...1EB648F3-BA7F-419E-A69E-CB18E292CE83.jpeg.dbb9121c53f7a4037fe2281818e0efcf.jpegI would have thought other factors such as whether you’re stood on them with one or two feet, the spacing between feet, width of sole, ambient temperature, or what they’re wrapped around etc., etc. Will also affect loading. 
In the end; does a pound or two really make much difference?

Good idea. I wanted to figure it out before buying them so I could order all the right ones that I need. In the end it turns out I calculated it incorrectly anyway. The tension is more than I thought. Maybe the max stated tension occurs at 2* or something not at 2.5*. 

When they arrived I looped them through weight plates and saw how many weights they could take off the floor or if the weights were still touching the floor I put them on scales to see how much of the weight the band was holding up. Now I know all the information. 

 

Now I can provide the figures here for everyone else.

Band Tension Amounts 

Yellow = 5-15lb 

red = 15-35lb 

blue = 65-175lb

 

Deadlift 

2 yellow doubled over from the floor to deadlift lockout: 17kg 

2 red doubled over from the floor to deadlift lockout: 26kg 

Back Squat  

2 red from the floor to the shoulders: 9kg 

2 blue from the floor to the shoulders: 40kg 

Zercher squat 

2 red from the floor to the barbell at lockout: 6kg

2 blue from the floor to the barbell at lockout: 24kg 

Bench Press

2 yellow doubled over from the floor to lockout: 15kg 

2 red doubled over from the floor to lockout: 30kg 

overhead 

2 yellow from the floor to lockout: 8.5kg 

2 red from the floor to lockout: 15kg

I just have one decent strength band with handles on. Actually very versatile in weights when you just stand on it with your feet at different distances apart.
