What business do you reckon will make the most money on day 1 when lockdown ends

Wont they be making a lot of money now anyway with on line sales?

People are stuck at home so they will be decorating and gardening in between getting pissed.

I've got a side hustle doing  trees, lawns and hedges etc. Most of my customers are pensioners with nice gardens, too big for them to manage now.

Pretty much every one of them has told me they can't wait till their garden centre re-opens. It's nearly hanging basket season and they haven't been able to bulk buy all the little plug plants to make hanging baskets etc.

Yes, many garden centres are doing limited online sales, but there's hundreds of thousands of pensioners out there that have loads of money and limited computer skills. They prefer to make a day of going to the garden centre and browsing for exactly what they want.... having tea and cake in the garden centre cafe etc.

Garden centres are goldmines anyway, but once the restrictions are lifted, it's gonna be unreal!

I think he was meaning if your one of the people who believe cash is going to be banned. In which case, crypto currencies probably would be a good bet as most illegal  activities, would be paid for with crypto, but you'd probably want to pick one of the untraceable ones, not BTC.

For the rest of us, who don't really care either way, if it's gets phased out or not, crack on as normal.

Yeah yeah I wasn't knocking what he was saying, was just throwing out my POV on BC, especially in these uncertain times people will be looking at ways of keeping their heads above water, and I wouldn't like to see people lose money.

When is physical money getting banned? Is there a single country that has done this? Is it part of anyone's manifesto? And say we did and we all just say used cards or our phones to pay for stuff - how would that lead to us being truly fvcked?

If you are genuinely interested in the transition to Central Bank Digital Currency and the potential implications, take the time to watch this.

No, whilst there is no direct talk of banning physical cash, a move to digital currencies is certainly well under way.

The above video whilst being US centric, the points discussed could certainly apply to any country implementing their own CBDC.

Indeed the UK recently undertook a webinar a few weeks back where they explored the benefits and risks of CBDC's.

Appreciate the effort but wasn't actually THAT interested. Few pubs in Liverpool don't take cash any more as they got fed up of being robbed. They've been absolutely fine with it and the punters are happy too so all good.
