Home workout

Recommended Posts

Set up a home workout routine, I don't have any gym equipment so I've improvised.

As much a full body as I can, I'll do it 3 or 4 times a week and by the time this is all over I'll be ripped like those prisoners doing life in San Quentin (added sarcasm).

Dips (made a dip station by taking the kids slide to bits)

Pull ups using their garden swing

Inverted rows

Pike pushups

Bench dips

Bicep curls (using sand filled paint tins)

Side laterals (using the above)

Front raises (using the above)

Bodyweight squats

Bodyweight lunges

Straight legged deads using a plank of wood

Exercises arnt listed in order of doing them, just a list of what im currently doing.

Anything else to add or do?

Stay safe peeps x

squat and do push ups with one/two of your kids on your back, be sure to add weight to your dips and pull/chin-ups and you'll be good to go.

Would do but I'm following advice and keeping 200m away from them ?

doubt that would make much difference if you all live in the same house. also guessing your not keeping 2 metres away from your mrs and are still sharing a bed with her every night.

Being that he said 200m, I'm guessing it was a joke

Put a heavy ruck sack on your back when you do squats and lunges

Re: rucksacks, I don’t own a car so walk to the local supermarket to get my shopping. Local being 1.4 miles away. Load up with milk, squash bottles, heavy fruit/veg, tins and then take a longer walk home.... nice bit of exercise. Shoulders are constantly elevated to support weight in rucksack, therefore recruiting traps. Traps don’t get a workout like this in the gym.
