We all have to Self isolate at our house.

Recommended Posts

My wee girl has a dry cough, headache, and sniffles. Rang the gp and 111 and they have said we have to Self isolate for 7 days. Fingers crossed its just nothing she's quite prone to coughs and colds through the winter months.

Me and the missus feel fine tho and the 2 year old has no symptoms.

I know what it’s like to have small kids who are ill. Worse than being ill yourself. Hope she recovers quickly

Yeah mate it's scary. She's 9 I'm trying to reassure her saying it just in case and that it's just a wee cold. Thanks mate. Hoping it all just blows over. Will keep you guys updated hope everyone here is safe and well.

Hope it’s nothing too sinister & the Belfast Bound household is back to norm soon :thumbup1:

Looks like lots of people will need to isolate now, over 70’s, pregnant women and adults with chronic conditions.

But if that’s not bad enough we’re supposed to stop going to the fvcking pub!!!

Coronavirus: PM says everyone should avoid office, pubs and travelling https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51917562

@BelfastBound hope your little one has a speedy recovery. Our 2 year old has a cold too. You should see the reactions at the moment when we’re out and she sneezes!!

It's a fvcking fantastic idea. I have asthma too and if I can get 12 weeks working from home I'll love it. I'll need to start hoarding tissues though  - this is going to be a marathon pornathon!

I understand its not him directly but surely someone in there must have a brain,

12 weeks, in the house?

What about those who are self employed, have little family to depend on, have lost their job etc....

Its a nice idea in theory, but the reality is that its not possible for the vast majority. Anyone with some common sense can tell that, and putting it up in the news in a time when people are already panicking is ridiculous.

but at the same time if they didnt advise that, they would get crucified for not taking it serious enough .. people are just expected to use common sense with it, unfortunately that's lacking these days!

I hope you guys recover fine and it just turns out to be a seasonal flu. Same happens with me last week. I was coughing and sneezing a lot and doc assured that if the body fever is at bay, it's just a normal cold and cough. Positive mate :)

My kids were s**t scared a week ago til I read that kids are pretty much immune to this, well the worse symptoms. Correct me if I am wrong  but I don't believe there is a single case of a child under 10 dying anywhere in the world. I think there was a teenager the other day but I think she already has a serious illness. So I just told my kids how lucky they were and told them how kids don't get it really bad. In your case just tell her this is is bad as it gets and she will be OK in a few days.

Know a guy from work that got himself tested. He has the covid virus but no symptoms.

What wasn't said was if that ment he was still contagious

See my son is 2. Dry cough Sunday night into Monday. Monday coughing. Slight temp Monday night 37.6. Tuesday morning 38.4 not eating saying hot hot. Just cuddling and crying. Drinking juice and eating lollies. Tuesday 1pm 39.1 degrees. Phone Gp refuse to talk. Say ring 111. They say we aren’t testing (here in Northern Ireland) so keep at home and self isolate. Currently temp 38.6 crying too hot. Can’t sleep he is only two. His brother is 5 in the house he is fine.

kids are resilient and I hope he recovers obviously. Im divorced but talk to his mum my ex wife daily. Face timed them today. Can’t see them but I hope tomorrow morning temp is down. Hospital admission will be last resort as tbat means a 2 year old on his own kicked in a room with no parents. f**k that

You’d think that as a carrier yes, you could catch it off him from contact or where he has touched a surface then you later do. I think I read that it lives 72hrs on surfaces?

The issue is he can still pass it on, and could pass it on to someone that doesn't know they have health problems.
