They are good for people who are deficient in magnesium. These people cannot absorb it from food and Epsom salts contain it and it soaks in topically. Better skin is the net result.
As for anything else. I'm not aware of any evidence of health giving properties.
If you want a soak post workout then getting in a bath of freezing cold water will benefit you more.
Know several rugby lads n ladies who use Epsom salts after games. Swear by it. Not read up on any proven benefits like brother @Sasnak mentioned but horses for courses n all dat!
Half a cup thrown in a hot bath every other night don't know if it's ever benefited me To a great degree other than smoother skin etc but it certainly does no harm and is cheap as chips.
You'd be better off eating 5g+ of decent salt everyday
