I have previously been a sceptic ; it makes sense to me that any collagen ingested will simply be broken down into amino s.
However my sister eats a lot of bone broth which makes herself from calves feet and she swears that it helps with her leaky bowel syndrome and joint health.
Dr Rhonda Patrick, who`s opinion I respect also believes that a sufficient amount of collagen can survive the digestive process and be beneficial. She uses Hydrolysed collagen powder.

Goddamn it, now I may have to buy it again! Rhonda Patrick is the real deal
I have been using hydrolized collagen pre/post workout but was considering not restocking
On a sidenote one may consider getting marine collagen, as its mostly collagen type 1, which is what you want for connective tissue. More expensive tho, i have been using the bovine version so far
it will be broken down and the body will use it where it sees fit! on the skin the molecule too big to get to where it is needed
