America's killed an Iranian general - World War 3, we're all gonna die.

Recommended Posts

People are talking about wars like who's d1ck is bigger than who.

Step back realise there are real people involved here . Innocent people get killed.

For those who are arguing 'who's harder between USA  and Russia ".... if any of these countries got into war ... with the level of nukes they pocesss this could end the entire civilisation .  And no one is safe. Not even behind our  safe little computer or phone.

Jesus you talk out of your arse.

Better than you lot talking boll*cks. The real battles of World War II were fought in Stalingrad, 2 milion casualties including civilians.   In contrast to the great sweeping tank battles elsewhere on the Eastern Front, Stalingrad was protracted and bloody urban warfare fought from street to street, house to house, and room to room as the Red Army resisted German attempts to take the city. Russia's defenses were based on thousands of strongpoints, each manned by an infantry squad, in apartments, office buildings, and factories, all with strict orders forbidding retreat.

The battle of Moscow:  More than a million German troops were thrown into the attack on Moscow as Hitler ordered that the city should be razed to the ground rather than captured. At first the German progress was rapid; by November 15 of 1941 they had fought to within 18 miles of the city. Then they were slowed by the Russian resistance, and an early winter set in, with temperatures dropping well zero Fahrenheit or -17,7 celsius. The German supply chain failed and Russian marshal Zhukov threw his reserve of Siberian divisions into a counterattack

Operation Citadel was the final German offensive on the Eastern front, and Kursk is considered the greatest tank battle of the war. At Kursk, the Nazis aimed to repeat their earlier successes by surrounding and destroying Russian forces. Thanks to Allied codebreakers, though, the Russians got advance warning and built up defensive lines of ditches and minefields to absorb the German attack. In the air, Stukas armed with 37mm gun pods faced Russian armored Sturmoviks dropping dozens of anti-tank bombs. As the German offensive stalled, Marshal Zhukov launched his counterattack and drove the Germans back with heavy losses.

I'm not saying the battles of Normandy were not horrific, but they were child play compared to what went down in Stalingrad. And all of you americanophiles can deny it all you want, but if it was not for the Russians, Europe would be speaking German, and if Germans had their way, the Americans would be yanking in japanese.

And to all you Brexit fanatics that want to split from a union that was born from the ashes of wars and ensured peace and prosperity across continent, your american overlords will welcome you as vassal state don't worry. That's what the Americans want Europe to be disrupted, so they can lead the EU.  The EU has always been looked as USA's little brother, but if we united and removed stupid old grudges like English have towards French and vice versa, or Macedoanins have towards Bulgarians( since Macedoanins are Bulgarian) and create a EU army, the EU would be an unstoppable democratic force, pretty much what the USA does not want us to become.

Just commenting on your last paragraph, you should re-read the reasons for EU formation because you're misinformed there if you think it had nothing to do with WW2.

Can we all just agree we all have different opinions but we can still be friends.

For what it s worth I sort of agree with what @alphafitis saying, but I don't know enough about the situation to fully commit to any argument.

Oh, yeah, and no homo, obviously:lol:

yes it was, in 1957 (still some 12 years after the war) .. and as a way of opening trades easier basically..

you're going back several different formations before it is even related to the second world war .. yes obviously they are remotely connected, because it exists between lots of countries that were involved in the conflict, and the peace treaties afterwards lead down the trade path, inevitably .. but if that counts as it being created because of world war 2, you could connect almost anything to it

Basically my point was aimed more towards the blatant EU propagating below from 'alpha'  .. I find it incredibly disrespectful to the war sacrifices to tarnish it with the EU brush.

Iran has admitted to shooting down a passenger plane unintentionally?? Considering the plane took off from   Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran Province how does that even happen?? So far since Trump the Terrible's assassination 210 + human beings have died...I get the feeling it’s going to be thousands.

That's what pretty much always happens when Americans get involved.

I think it’s weird how we can sell 5billion worth of ordinance and (Technical support) to whoever we like?  Mainly assholes!

And that sale has been ruled unlawful in a court of law meaning what we did was illegal!

So we sold millions of bombs illegally with technical support to help kill human beings all over the world...But we are somehow a lesser threat to the world than the man Trump assassinated??

The only reason Trump did this is he has now won the vote of all the yahoos in the states at a difficult time due to his impeachment and they can bullie Iran because they do not have Nuclear weapons yet.

What the f is wrong with you? Iran shot down a plane while trying retaliate to Trump using a drone AND assassinating  a Generall of their army.. The americans  stirred up a hornet's nest and provoked the situation ! If USA did no kill the man would Iran have started to bomb their bases and bomb a plane ?

Just google the Canadian journalists  that  argue about the  plane being blown out of the sky was the fault of Donald Trump.

I'm not saying Iran is justified in shooting down a plane, it's tragic ,but it's retarded to blame them without blaming the ones that started the conflict in the first place. The ones who always start the conflicts and make a mess in foreign affairs that don't concern them.

they already retaliated by (badly) firing missiles at several military bases, managing to mostly hit fields and kill no-one ( probably on purpose) then declare they are standing down and wont be retaliating further ... it was a fake retaliation to save face and look like they have reacted.. shooting down a passenger plane from ukraine, that's just because they're fu**ing morons, nothing to do with the US, not part of the 'conflict'.

Iran hit empty spaces on purpose as not to kill to send a message. Iran are not like the US who just blindly kill men women and children with their drones and just put it down to collateral. Or invade countries, overthrow their leader and install some puppet dictators whilst stealing their resources or fabricating some rubbish about the leader through their vast propaganda machine in the west then create so called moderate rebels and arm and fund them for them to turn out to be the infamous IS who were close to victory thankfully the Russians, Iran and Lebanon flexed their muscles and sorted that issue out.

yes they hit empty spaces on purpose this is exactly what I am saying, but it is because they knew if they hit actual targets the US would have hit back with ten times the force.. not saying whether that's right or wrong, but the US would have no qualms about totally obliterating Iran, and they know that.. the 'retaliation' was so they could atleast pretend to their people like they were reacting, they fired on (and missed) military bases, not civilians so it was nothing to do with morality.

I know Iran’s actions have nothing to do with morality. It’s America’s actions that have everything to do with morality over the past 20 years or more if you want to go back to South American times

As if  Russia and China will stand by while the Americans ''hit with force'' . Don't be a foolish no one will strike hard anytime soon unless he is willing to risk a WW III.

I never said anything about Americas moral compass, nor am I defending them as we all know what they're like .. just arguing with the other muppet who thinks Iran shooting down a Ukrainian passenger plane is because of the US lol

Well is it fair to say had the US now killed the general then Iran would not of been shooting at anything. I’m not blaming their obvious negligence and stupidly but it’s only as a reaction to Americans initial action so one could say America are to blame also

People talking about how "stupid" and "moronic" Iran are for misidentifying and shooting down a civilian passenger plane but they're not the first to make that mistake. The US themselves shot down an Iranian airbus (flight 655) killing 290 civilians at the end of the 80s.

Talking about stupidity, I doubt anything will ever come close to  matching the military incompetence of invading a sovereign nation, overthrowing it's regime, occupying it and plunging it into a decade + perpetual state of civil war that has led to hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths on mistaken intelligence that said nation possessed "weapons of mass destruction" and were planning an "imminent attack". Everything the US gets involved in militarily turns into a giant clusterfuck.

Iran now being painted as the bogeyman. This latest US offensive was apparently to "protect US lives". What a load of bollox. Iran poses no threat to western civilians. In fact they've probably done more to safeguard western civilians in the last decade or so than all of our own governments put together.

Iran has been/are instrumental in fighting against the Wahhabi Sunni militant groups in Syria, Iraq and the wider region. Those groups are the threat to US and western civilians. 9/11, the 7/7 bombers , the Manchester concert bomber, London Bridge attackers, San Bernadino mass shooting, 2015 Paris attacks (138 killed) and countless others all perpetrated by individuals either connected to or inspired by Isis, Al Qaeada or other Sunni extremist groups.

If Iran is such a threat to the west where are all the attacks carried out on the west by groups connected/backed or inspired by Iran ??

The country in the Middle East that is by far the biggest  threat to western civilians is Saudi Arabia. The country responsible for spreading the extreme Salafi-Wahhabi ideology across the region and around the world  and backing and funding the above groups to destabilise it's neighbouring countries. 15 of the 19 9/11 plane hijackers were Saudi nationals. Yet somehow the Saudis are the west's greatest ally in the region :confused1:
