Youtube in pub for champions league final

Recommended Posts

Lads,

My local wants to show the champions league final but it's on B.T sport.

The pub has Sky sports but not BT sport.  BT wanted 8 grand a year.

Anyway it's on free via the BT app & also on Youtube.

Does anyone know if it's O.K to show YouTube live in a pub.

Me personally I said f##k in & just connect a fire stick & Use IPTV but the pub manger won't do that?

There also setting up a dish and finding a FTA European channel showing it?

Anyone know what would be best to do?

Ah section 5.1 on You Tubes T&C say:-

  1. you agree not to access Content for any reason other than your personal, non-commercial use solely as intended through and permitted by the normal functionality of the Service, and solely for Streaming. "Streaming" means a contemporaneous digital transmission of the material by YouTube via the Internet to a user operated Internet enabled device in such a manner that the data is intended for real-time viewing and not intended to be downloaded (either permanently or temporarily), copied, stored, or redistributed by the user.

That way though I think your just breaking YouTube rules not BT sport.

BT sport actively look for pubs illegally broadcasting their product, I doubt YouTube do.

It not for me to watch Matt,

I'm just helping a mate out.

Also doesn't look like it's F.T.A on Satellite: -

It's not going to help him, maybe he sells more pints but at the risk of a massive fine. If BT charge 8 grand a year nobody would pay it if all you had to do was stream youtube to the T.V.

It's only the final on you tube mate. They show it for free every year on you tube and via the BT sport's app.

Why would anyone on UKM general want to facilitate illegal activity in a pub when you could just go to one with BT sports showing.  You should be ashamed of yourself, I hope you don't have offsprings to further pollute society with this kind of behaviour.
