What can you concoct from these ?

If I gave you a list of ingredients what healthy high protein snack could you come up with ?

Vanilla whey protein powder

Full fat milk

Peanut butter

Monkey nuts

Fresh strawberries

Dried raisins/sultanas

Natural yoghurt


Porridge oats

I see no one came up with anything,good job I've been busy experimenting :)

This is what I've come up with after some trial and error

2 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter melted in a saucepan on low heat .Then add 3 eggs (beaten) and stir until you have a nice creamy mixture.Stir constantly to prevent it turning into an omelette.

Pour into a mixing bowl and add 

160g porridge oats

120g dried fruit (raisins/currants in my case )

1 medium carrot, grated 

Mix that all up well then pour into a lined baking tray.

Cook for about 10 - 15 minutes in the middle of a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees.

Remove and let cool.


Pretty tasty without being too stodgy.Ideal as a healthy cereal bar replacement.

I did try using protein powder but wasn't happy with the way they turned out.

I'll work out the nutrional value when I get a chance
