Well, foods like beetroot have health benefits due to containing nitrates I believe (by lowering BP). I must admit I was primarily answering from a training POV as I was assuming this was what you really cared about. I'm not sure if the supplement may have a health benefit, or indeed if people without hypertension may benefit from foods containing it.
If you're interested, here is some evidence of L-Arginine supplementation leading to a reduction in BP in healthly volunteers, so this sort of thing can have an effect:
Get a pre-workout that has nitric oxide benefits, like GAT PMP
