I see this term thrown around a lot, particularly competitors having good rebounds after dieting for a show. What are they exactly and what's the science behind them?

ASAIK Getting on the cals, gear and heavy lifting produces a greater effect following a prep/diet/prime than they otherwise normally would.

Dont know why, dont know if its true.

Pull your foreskin out as far as it will go......then let go....thats a rebound :)

When you diet for a show you generally calorie restrict yourself a lot, dry yourself out and tighten up your muscles. When you start eating properly again and rehydrate and lift heavy weights your body is very primed for this and you get a massive anabolic effect.

It applies to a lot of things tho, water tablets....AI's etc anything you restrict can over compensate the other way around when you cut them out and you can have a massive reflux.
