In all honesty, im not sure it'll make a difference, BUT, are there any routines which work better for keeping as much muscle as possible whilst banishing the fat?

I was thinking of keeping to a 3 - 4 day split routine, nothing fancy, mainly compound movements in the 10 - 12 rep range. I choose to stay away from any 5x5 routine as less food consumption equals considerably less strength. Or is that wrong to assume?

Any ideas much appreciated, cheers fellas.
