Anyone used Swimming successfully to loose fat with swimming as their cardio choice?

I used to swim as a kid on a regular basis (National Level) but not done it for years now.

I was considering going over lunch time, so i wont be on an empty stomach, id have had a meal at 8am then one at 1030am then swim around 12 followed by a lunch post swim

what are peoples thoughts?

I think is a great idea specially if your enjoy swimming

I'm the same I have swam since I was little and I really enjoy it, now I do swim twice a week (night) because of the timetable. However swimming is not for everyone and you will get a mix response, some of my mates hate swimming and therefore they think is not good because blablabla
