I hurt my shoulder about 4 weeks ago, I then seeked medical advice..

the doctor replied "IT WILL GET BETTER WITH REST, NO NEED FOR PHYSIO"

4 weeks later no gym, still have f****ing pain.

I saw a private physio last week, waste of money... just gave me a deep sports massage. no help!

I found these exercises on the web, do you think these will help strengthen the shoulder?

Those exercises are designed to rehabilitate/strengthen the Rotator Cuff muscles - Is that what you have damaged?

I'd attend another physio(preferably a shoulder specialist)or even A&E(be prepared to wait though!) for a proper diagnosis

If you have damaged a rotator muscle,i'd pick two of them.Use a very light weight and perform high reps, obviously do not do any thing that causes discomfort.

Apply ice and take an anti inflammatory when you have performed the movements.

These movements are useful for anyone who wants to keep their shoulders healthy, especially if previous injuries have occurred :)

I know how fustrating it is,i've had a shoulder injury getting on 6 months now,all you can do is rest and rehabilitate.

How exactly did you cause the problem?

I used a wider grip when doing upwards row, I then got a sharp pain but it started to go. So i started chest few days later and just got a massive sharp pain when doing bench press ;e

As for your shoulders,I'm tempted to guess impingement(supraspinatus)

As for the pain in your lats and traps, other than referred pain or your body compensating for the shoulder injury,i ain't got a clue :confused1:

Definitely seek a specialist before the problem becomes worse and recovery is longer than necessary :)
