Both are excellent, why not alternate? Dont get too caught up in the perfect food my friend, you have to eat it and make it a long term choice to succeed, so enjoy it and have some variety.

DB made a fantastic alternative suggestion too, sweet potatos are great baked or mashed with a little udos in.

for me bulking means eat whatever i can get my hands on foodwise...erm i wouldnt know about lean bulking...but i know brown rice is a better complex carb...slow release than potatoes...but then again...as said above....keep your options open...there are so many sources of different decent carbs...its not just chips or mash anymore!!!!

there are brown everything these days:

pasta's(tortellini's-nice,but white tho)

rices

cous cous

cereals

potatoes...all kinds

yams

cassava's

breads

beans

loads n loads get on the searches,books n mags!!!!
