i would of thought that but the mechanics of the machine seem to feel really comfortable.

did you learn the hard way straight away was it long term?

Had to take a month off shoulders.I tend to lift heavy and when I'm on the limit that slight movement i have using dumbbells allows me to compensate.

With the machine I had nowhere to go and so I pulled ligaments in my shoulder.

right - i see where your coming from - its the fixed motion that caused you the prob.

i may try sticking with dumbells then blast a final high rep set on the machine.
