How long does it take roughly for the carbs you eat to be available to fuel a workout?

I usually eat about an hour before i train but thought to myself earlier that thats pretty good going by the body if it can break it down and use the carb for energy in just an hour! :confused1:

I normally get some a good low fat meal with some protein and carbs about 1 to 2 hours before working out. If I leave too much time I don't feel I have energy to train but too little time the food sits on my stomach.

How quickley the food digest is going to depend on what you ate and how much.

Just go by how you feel. If you can complete the workout then you are doing o.k. If you feel drained you need to change something.

No i feel sweet as, it works for me, but i was just wondering in general. Is my workout being fuelled by the rice i eat mid morning or the oats from breakfast, or even from carbs the day before?
