What were you doing pre trt that was improving your levels and why did you cease this?Hey friends!
Was placed on TRT by NHS ENDOCRINOLOGIST two years ago after testing well below ‘normal’ (looong journey):
Pre TRT* TESTOSTERONE
I was placed on daily Testogel 50mg transdermal sachets at the end of February 2020 just before the world went nuts with COVID lockdowns.
- 8.1 nmol/l (6th Jan 2020)
- 5.8 nmol/l (27th Jan 2020)
- 10.4 nmol/l (19th Feb 2020)
POST TRT* TESTOSTERONE
Initially, I felt an initial sense of rejuvenation. Most of the negative symptoms began to ease and I didn’t ache anymore! But recently, I haven’t been feeling quite the same: as if the gels weren’t working. Back to the GP for bloods…
- 10.9 nmol/l (6th Oct 2021)
- with oestrogen at 132!
Got an update from Endo after expressing how crap I felt again, symptoms relapsing:

Seems I am scraping into the lower range of 'normal' and the Endo is not willing to up-titrate my dosage even though I have explicitly asked in a response letter outlining that they are not willing to comply with BSSM Guidelines.
Whether you agree with this next part or not, please try to understand: I have added in my own protocol of ed 0.1ml of Test Cyp 200 subcutaneous to supplement the NHS protocol of Testogel: gel on waking in the morning and a small shot of test in the evening. I'm about 3 weeks in.
I write in the hope not to get judgement (risky!) but to share my journey and also to have a healthy discussion around this sensitive topic. The NHS are generally rubbish and I am finding it hard to get support for my deficiency: it's ruining my life, and my marriage and fatherhood. I am not blessed with a lot of disposable income to get to a plush men's health clinic right now. So can anyone recommend what blood work I need to push the NHS Endo for to make sure I am staying as healthy as possible? They seem to only want to talk 'total testosterone!
