Hello everyone. I been ****ing aroung in the gym for a few years now, mainly doing cardio work and a few weights but now i want to step up the weight side and get a bit of shape. To be honest i find it totally confusing, everyone i speak to or things i read is different, 3 sets of 6, 3 sets of 10, 4 sets of 10;8;6;4 reps etc. I'm just hoping you guys who've been there and done it can nudge me in the right direction and answer my silly, naive questions. cheers and looking forward to getting involved with the community. :) :confused1:

Try 8 reps to start, see how that goes for you. I'd stick between 8-12 when first starting out.
