Hi Guys,

As the title says, do roids have an effect on the kidneys and if so to what degree? The reason I ask is that a friend of mine is thinking about doing an injectable cycle of test (500mgs per week), he has had damaged kidneys since birth and I just wondered if test or other roids would have any undesirable effects on him.

blood pressure increase due to water retention may indirectly. cant think of anything direct, but someone more knowledgeable will chime in

personally i think anyone with internal organ damage from birth should be very wary of taking any drugs without talking it with a doctor.

I can only reply from my own experience. I caned drink and recreational drugs from my teens until quite recently.

I have been using steroids for a while.

My kidneys are fine but my liver shows sign of stress (whether this is from the past or from the steroids, I don't know).

Therefore, for me, steroids are fine for kidneys but may put stress on the liver.

if u keep blood pressure low kidneys will be fine to much protein in diet may be worse

It depends on the nature of the kidney damage (type and extent).
