Hi guys

well ive been suffering increasingly with all the symptoms of ED for the last few years and had a low test count after much back and forth to the quacks, they eventually put in touch with a endo who prescribed me Testim Gel to apply to upper arms etc, now I do train and train quite hard, however and have been on this stuff for 8 weeks now and so far still no morning glory, don't feel that much better in the gym or anywhere else for that matter, libido isn't booming. Ive changed training to include dead lifting, squats etc and alls that's happening is my belly is bigger................. so great nothing working .... im eating well and as clean as you possibly can while working out in Iraq which isn't easy. ive gained a bit on the arms and shoulders but it seems alls the squats and deadlifting seems to do is force my tummy out and make me thicker round the middle. proper getting hacked off atm can anyone help?

Yes mate, the big belly may be water retention.

The lack of progress means that you may have low testosterone and high oestrogen hence the water retention.

Get yourself on injections

When your on trt you cant raise test levels from squats etc like you can naturally..you need another test to see your levels..i started on 1 gel per day..had to go to 2 to see improvement..

The problem with gels is your levels are back to low again the next day, reason they are daily. This may explain the none existent morning glory.

See if you can get on injections instead, much better.

Some people like the gel on trt so get your bloods done first. If you aromatise easily like I do then you won’t feel the benifits of the testosterone so you need to check your bloods to make sure everything is in range and in correct ratio because if you produce too much e2 you won’t feel anything. It’s really not hard to understand once you read up on hormones and compare your bloods. If your blood work shows things have not improved then try injections and do the same with your bloods. I normally wait 6 weeks until the trt /cycle. Good luck

Hey Phil, new, but no-so-new-really, TRT'r here (new to Forum though). New because I've only just found the pone that works for me after about 10 years. Don't let that put you off, I didn't know what I was doing, neither did my GP, so I persisted with something for years that I should have ditched after months. I've been on injections (approx. 7 years) and several versions of the gels, even been on tablets but that's another story. In short the injections DID NOT work for me at all. I was on them for literally years with no improvement. I eventually got onto Testim (supply issues) so went onto to Tostran (again supply issues) and now I've moved over to Testogel about 2 years ago and it's made a massive difference to me, mentally (was always depressed, now actually enjoy life), sexually, health wise and physically, I now actually have decent biceps, which I've never had in my life, even prompted me to get a tattoo but previously it would have looked awful.......and I don't even work out of go to gym !!! I did see an endo briefly, but that was just before pandemic started so now I just look after myself. I started on 1 (5mg) sachet a day, after approx. 1 year I upped it to 2 and was on that for about a year. I found whilst I was feeling better I was putting more weight on, was slightly more aggressive and was getting moobs (as mentioned earlier in thread). So dropped back down to 1 again, whilst the transition was difficult (about 2 weeks) I'm now back stable and feeling great again. The main message here is it's trial and error I'm afraid, what works for one doesn't\might not for someone else. The difficulty being the time it takes to get, test, see how you feel, then swap. But once you find the one that works for you, you'll know it :) .

All the best

Neil
