I'm currently living in Australia but am wanting to head over to London to live/ work. I've completed my Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer qualifications and have 6 months work experience in a gym here in Australia.

Do you guys think this is enough?

Is it hard to find work, do you think someone would take me on with only minimal experience?

Thanks in advance for any info/advice. :thumb:

It's hard to say. A lot of PT's are self-employed and the gym takes a cut of their fees for the use of the equipment. Others are directly employed (e.g. Fitness First has 1-to-1 PTs who I believe are mainly self-employed and Fitness Team Members who are employees). Councils will also employ trainers for their facilities. However, before you set up shop in the UK you'll have to have a Criminal Records Bureau/Disclosure Scotland check - a lot of places require this, especially council-owned gyms, where there would be children and vulnerable adults.
