I was informed a while back that carb depletion was needed before you could successfull carb load, Is this true?? if so how low do you need to drop the carbs and how long for

everyones different but carb depletion is usually 3 days,that would be between 0-100g depending on how easily/quickly your body depletes. then load for 2.5-3 days with day 1 being highest carbs and day 2 tapering down slightly depending on how quickly you fill out .The more depleted you are at the end of carb depletion the more successful the carb up should be
