getting back into training after a short lay off, i think i was overtraining before the lay off as i wasnt making any progress so i have decided to try following the routine Big posted up in the how to get big thread.

i am 5 foot 10 and weighed myself this morning at 11st 9lbs

this was todays workout

dumbbell bench press

2x10 12kg dumbbell warm up

2x8 24kg dumbell

bent over row

2x10 12kg dumbbell warmup

1x8 22kg dumbbell

1x8 24kg dumbbell

military press

1x8 35kg bar

1x6 40kg bar (went too heavy and couldnt get the last 2 reps out)

close grip chinups

2x8 bodyweight only

finished off with 15 min on the cross trainer.

i know im not shifting the biggest of weights but hopefully see the weight going up over the next few months.

cardio tomorrow then legs and abs on thursday.

Hope it goes well dude.

But looking at your guide i dont hink that would be enough to overload/stress the muscle out. Id be leaving the gym asking myself did i do anything tonight??

to be honest i am feeling that way just now but i havent managed to find the balance between undertraining and overtraining yet so i will give it a few weeks and see how i feel then maybe tweak it to suit.
