Alright guys so I've started recently a series on diet and nutrition that is going to cover the basics and the science of diet and well as certain strategies and recipes for weight loss and muscle gain. Would love to hear any contributions and k knowledge you guys have to share also as well as any questions cheers
  2. Going from whey to pea protein

    Anybody made or considering the switch? Whey is/was the only dairy I still consume (not a fan of dairy and wanted to drop it for ethical/conservation reasons), and the recent price hikes have given me the incentive to try pea protein (also, if brexit goes ahead then there's going to be a massive hike in the cost of whey). Started using unflavoured isolate, pretty good in porridge but I have to add more sweetener/honey to mask the earthy taste. I'm still using the remaining whey I have for my PWO shake, so not tried pea isolate in water yet, but I can see it being a challenge...
  3. 0.5kg per day and I’m 160 pounds, that’s like double of what Arnold Schwarzenegger used to take in his prime. Also 4k calories sounds like a lot. This is not optimal diet for building muscle and not fat, is it? PS: I was going to tell you all what a magical tool this myfitnesspal app is, did a forum search first, seems like everyone already knows...
  4. At the begining of the year I started taking Prolab N large, I took it for a month without trouble. I then switched to EAS from Costco, I was fine for about 2 weeks then out of the blue I started getting real bad stomach cramping from it. I took a week off from it then tried again without luck. I just bought some ON gold standard since its better quality and I'm still experiencing some minor discomfort but not as bad as the EAS. What would cause this just to start happening? I'm a little lactose intolerent but you would think the problem would have started right away. I read that isolates are the easiest on the stomach, anyone have any suggestions on a brand? Thanks.

I am a 16 year old male, I exercise mainly my upper body (arms, shoulders, back, chest, abs etc. and legs) I am roughly 5”10 and weigh 131 pounds and I go to the gym for roughly 2 hours about 3-5 times a week. I have just bought Whey protein powder and I’m not sure how much protein i should consume a day and when too. any advice and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, I’m happy to give any more info.
  6. Got hold of over 3000 protein shakers. All 600ml ones with the spring in. Black lid. Logo says "protein active.co.uk" ideal for someone who owns a gym etc and wants to make some good money. 48 per box. £30 a box or will add decent discount for bulk buys. Let me know
  7. I have been training for approx 3 years and have been increasing calories gradually to gain muscle. I’m naturally skinny and have high metabolism. I am currently up to 3300 calories and not gaining weight yet. I’m a bit confused at when enough protein is enough. I’m currently having 190g per day 380 carbs and 115 fat. Not sure now what to increase as I feel protein increase is not necessary. Articles are so contradictory and I’m off the scale with any weight gain calculator!

Do these "diet proteins" work for after my workouts, theres much more protein per scoop in these diet ones so im confused on why people would simply buy the normal stuff.   14. Best Protein brand?

    Hi, looking for a bit of advice on what brand of protein to go for. So far I have been looking at Optimum Nutrition, MyProtein and Maxi Nutrition. Any recommendations? Many Thanks Evan
  15. Whey price hike?

    Just checked BP to see if there were any deals for my next order on Whey and have noticed the price has gone upto 54.99 from 46.99 or so.. Damn, another source price hike in Whey? It always happens but didn't expext such a large increase, same on MP. Are there any other suppliers you know of offering competitive prices? Thanks.
