  5. BBC salaries...

I haven't had a TV license for years now. I used to get visits , but I am at work all the time so they just put a card through. I get the usual letter every now and then " this is your last chance to pay before court ect " lol. The letters are always addressed to The Householder and they don't even know my name despite me having owning and lived here for years. My credit score is excellent , it doesn't affect me one bit not having one. I refuse to be a sheep ( no disrespect to anyone who pays for one ) and follow the flock putting revenue every year in there pocket. I just thought a good few years ago , fek it I ain't paying for this scam no more and just literally stopped and never acknowledged anything from them ever again. Plus East Enders has gone sh1t anyway since dirty den went missing lol

  10. What cars do you drive?

Just got a Audi S5 and am liking it, my first Audi. My past 3 cars were all Porsches 2 boxsters and a 911, so fancied a complete change. I drive a little van everyday as my day to day run around for business, so my cars are just a weekend toy. I was looking at bmw 435,s . But decided am too much of a petrol head lol. Drove my mates rs3 and was very impressed with it. I think am maybe a bit old now for hot hatches , but I do like the golf r and rs3,s ect. Another possible choice was the c63 AMG coupe on a 12 to 14 plate as last of the V8s , as I think they will hold there money as a classic. Must admit I do like my cars . On a separate note, anybody waiting for a logbook ect of DVLA ? Am waiting for mine so I can put my private reg on . But apparently there is a massive back log due to covid, just wondering how soon any of you guys had to wait ? Thanks

  17. Camping

Sorry mate I can't remember off top of my head but not a lot, I would have to go on Ali Express to check. Am very impressed with the rucksack. I didn't want to spend a fortune on all the top gear when I don't get a lot of time off work from my business. I didn't want cheap stuff just border line half decent gear, I forked out for a decent sleeping pad and bought a sea to summit insulated ultralight pad as I really do want a comfortable good night's kip. I read some really good reviews on the 3F UL GEAR and bit the bullet and ordered quite a bit of gear of Ali Express and everything has turned up quite quickly with no dramas. I work 6 days a week so I only really have one night to get away. So looking forward to a few local overnight wild camps on pennies then maybe venture further a field . Once you have all the gear it's a cheap night out mini break ect. I am very much happy in my own company in the middle of know were. Years ago I did 4 nights on Ben Alder above loch Rannock in a mixture of wild camping and 2 nights in boffeys. Really enjoyed it, but my kit back then was very basic and heavy
  18. Camping

I started buying some gear in just before all this corona. But haven't had chance to go yet due to being so busy with work . I already had a tent a vango banshee supposed to be 2man , but really just big enough for me and my dog. Comes in weight wise about 2.35 kg not the lightest but a good first tent. My old rucksack was too heavy for wild camping so I bought after reading reviews a 3F UL GEAR rucksack that comes in at 0.9 kg and was not a lot of money, I am really impressed with it and it's so light compared to my old metal framed pack. I also bought titanium cook set and a tangia burner all from the Chinese website Ali express. Was very good quality for what you pay. I also bought a 3F UP GEAR bivvy bag to make my own old sleeping bag a bit warmer and small tarp. I bought a ultralight plastic folding table and seat pad . I also got titanium tent pegs to make banshee tent lighter , but I am looking at a lanshan 2 pro for more room. Am still getting bits and bobs as go along. I already do a lot of walking as I live on edge of pennies so got plenty of tab montane clothing . Got a few days off next month so will probably go them, just me the dog and a box of wine lol
  19. Thanks, I have already seen the s James website and also junction 17 also have a few in, cheers
  20. Very smart that mate, I am currently looking at these myself at the moment. Cash in my pocket so hoping for a bargain. The M sport body kit really makes them. Did you look at many before buying that one ? I seen one very similar for sale at a garage in Nottingham, which sells lots of bmw,s and I think they put the m sport kit on them selves . Cheers
  21. Reoccurring injuries ###$#

Right shoulder rotary cuff, comes and goes. It's always plays on my mind I have it. Any over head pressing sets it off, just have to try and work round it and do a few movements to try and help strengthening it. Have been doing the hanging off a bar for a long time when I first get up in the morning. Mite just take a look at the yoga atb
  22. Heard of Cheshire Oaks and been
  23. Am on the edge of East Manchester mate, so plenty to go at. Plus my business is not far from snake pass ect. Plus I think once you commit to a road run circuit or a big hills walk and jog back down, once the tunes get pumping . Your less likely to quit unlike being bored on a treadmill in a gym.
  24. As I've got older I realise cardio is just better for heart health ect. I hate cardio and it bores me to death in the gym. I much prefer road running , the weather don't bother me, in fact there is a certain amount of pleasure in running in light rain. I also enjoy hiking, and I sometimes pick a few big hills near me up on the moors and fill a rucksack up with weights and hike up at a fast pace with my dogs with me , then jog back down and off back to the motor. I don't find any of these as boring as stuck on a treadmill or stationary bike. Being outside in the country side and with my dogs makes more pleasurable. Road running wise normally just two 5k runs a week at a fast, ish pace. Nice interesting thread to hear what other people do. Cheers
  25. Who’s watching what on NETFLIX

Started watching this, it is actually pretty good. The subtitles are a pain in the arse, but it's a good show .
