Lancashiregent reacted to swole troll in Gyms allowed to re-open after lockdown
Two good sources often on talk radio are Mike Yeardon and Desmond Swayne
They both nutshell the ineffectiveness of lockdowns as well as the monumental physical, mental and economic cost.
You know there's some s**t awry when Theresa May starts making sense... (recently spoke out in the commons and Boris left the room)
Even white said Fred are speaking out against it with really compelling arguments
But to name some of the 'accepted collateral' for delaying covid:
    * 20,000 preventable cancer deaths due to missed screenings
    * 5000 preventable heart disease deaths due to missed screenings (I personally know someone fighting for life with a burst aneurysm that went unnoticed due to his routine screening being delayed)
    * suicide rates at a 20 year high and due to increase once the economic damage really kicks in
    * mind boggling amounts of debt
    * small business' across the UK going out of business
    * airlines at their biggest loss in history (which they'll need to reclaim)
    * 3,000,000 self employed rejected from the business relief and furlough scheme earning absolutely nothing as their business goes under
On a personal level I know of a young lad that tore his ACL that resorted to a private op out of his savings due to the NHS quoting him 4 years! before he'd be considered and this kid is in his early twenties.
All of this is to slow the rate of covid infection.
Covid is dangerous to some like many respiratory conditions and many have lost friends, family and loved ones.
But the last time I checked (few months ago) it was 24th on the most common causes of death in the UK
To me this doesn't warrant all of the above cost to slow the spread.

It's characters that make forums interesting, the fella seems harmless enough and sticks to his guns, so I think he adds a lot to this place.
Also that fella that posts about ass holes and dildos is definitely a sandwich short of a picnic (or more likely a troll) but again it's only a forum, without them it'd be bland as hell.

Im not a med expert just like to read study’s  and odd books on topic of health and I do have a doubt about this new vaccine type we dont have enough data and good trials conducted, on average  it takes 7-20 years to develop a successful vaccine, should we risk taking something that can even harm us in the future for something that doesnt have such an impact now I mean virus has 99% survival rate it all seem like massive scam with media manipulation and facts we were given . Government  chase their own interest public interest never their focus.

Thank you, yes  - I am doing that right now.
Reading my MP's views on the lockdown I am incredibly pleased  to see he is one of a few MP's who have had the courage to vote against a 2nd lockdown.
His views are here, for anyone interested.  ( No idea why anyone would be but  I  found it a decent read)

    https://www.chris-green.org.uk/news/covid-19-and-my-view

He stepped down in his role as Parliament Private Secretary he feels that strongly about the whole situation.

His thoughts echo many of my own and it is refreshing to see these being reiterated by an MP.

So, yes, great suggestion  - write to your MP!

    Extract from his article below.

"During the peak of the pandemic, it was clear that Covid-19 was a killer and was causing a huge increase in deaths.  Since then, even up until today, the death rate has been in line with what doctors would expect in a typical year.  Everyone knows that respiratory illnesses increase with the onset of winter and the start of the school year.  Whilst the Spanish Flu of 1918 attacked the young, Covid-19 targets the elderly, obese and those with other underlying health problems.  The average age of death of a victim of Covid-19 is about 83 which is a year older than average life expectancy in the UK.
So many months ago, when the first national lockdown was imposed, I supported the Government.  Now, our understanding has changed.  I voted against this second national lockdown and fear a third in the New Year because the cost of it is too high compared to the threat.
Across England, tens of millions fewer GP appointments have been had, 4.7 million fewer  hospital appointments have been attended and three million have not had cancer screening because of the lockdown. We do not yet know the details of the health impact these cancellations will have – it will be a number of years before we see the impact on cancer survival rates – but I do know that many people are already suffering and it is getting worse all the time.
Over 50,000 more people now have an undiagnosed cancer.  When and if it is discovered, will each patient have to undergo far harsher treatment or will it already be too late?
Pregnant women have been denied the support of their husband or partner when going for scans and treatment.  Dads-to-be have be denied the ability to give the support that they know their wife or partner needs.  I have heard of dads-to-be waiting in cold car parks for days on end, not knowing what joy or worry awaits them, of women who have been told sorry, there is no heartbeat, alone in a hospital room.
Where is the exit to this and what is the “new normal” for society?  How much closer to rock bottom are we going to get before the Government offers us a way out.  Despite the media excitement, the early crop of vaccinations do not promise to protect anyone from contracting the disease or prevent its onward transmission.  Is submitting to the mass testing the entire UK population every week a way out when the Prime Minister has gone into two weeks isolation even though he has the antibody immunity from Covid-19 that recovery gives and has since had a negative test?
Covid-19 is not the threat it was because we have learnt so much over the last nine months.  It is not the threat the Government thinks it is as their terrifying projections fall apart under the lightest of objective scrutiny.
Lockdown is doing for more damage than I could ever have imagined.  Health services, education, employment and so much of what makes life worth living have been taken away from so many and we have no assurance of when the return will be permitted.
The cycle of lockdowns has failed and the attempted cure is worse than the disease.  The Government, who have been supported by the opposition every step of the way, has the opportunity to reset their approach to restore normality whilst ensuring that those who need protection continue to receive it.

People do understand the real risks that Covid-19 presents so let us continue with high quality public information and encouragement to maintain those essential behaviour patterns that are key to reducing the spread of disease whilst allowing the majority to return to normal."

    FORCED VACCINATIONS.
For anyone who might think such conjecture is only to be found in the radical and outrageous parts of conspiracy and tin foil hat groups of Facebook and the dark web, maybe should take a look at what was being implemented in Denmark until 9 days of continuous and wide scale protests in Denmark forced a government U-turn.

"A Danish law that would have allowed health authorities to forcibly inject people with a Covid-19 vaccine has reportedly been abandoned after more than a week of public protests.
The proposed ‘epidemic law’ would have replaced an existing emergency law passed in the spring which gave the government sweeping powers to fight Covid-19, but protests lasting nine days have seen the radical measures which politicians hoped to make permanent shelved for now despite the emergence of two possible Covid-19 vaccines.

With the assistance of police, the epidemic law would have allowed forced vaccinations of people from defined groups that refuse the vaccine, as well as forcible medical examinations and detention in isolation centres.

“People who refuse the above can – in some situations – be coerced through physical detainment, with police allowed to assist.”
