It’s not just about calories in terms of deficit, you have to consider energy turnover. The more you eat, the more you are turning over. So someone eating 4000kcal and a theoretical deficit of 500kcal (theoretical because maintenance / deficit is not a set number, the body doesn’t work this way) and someone eating 2000kcal at a 500kcal deficit will not lose body fat at the same rate.
You will see more change in the person eating more.

Pscarb got a reaction from EpicSquats in Deleting of Threads
OK, some of you seem to be a tad upset about threads getting deleted instead of moved to a different section, in fact, some of you have ever been so upset you have felt the need to go on to other forums to complain and slag the MODs of this site off.
well that is sad but never mind lol
listen, guys, if YOU choose to place a thread in the wrong section then don't complain after that it was deleted instead of moved........ it's very simple really
1 - if you cannot be bothered to put it in the correct section why should the MOD team?
2 - if it only takes 2min to move then why didn't YOU move it?
I have seen a few posts questioning why certain sections seem a bit empty well the reason is clear because some idiots don't post in the right section.
So if you have a question about training with arthritis then you have 2 options, post in the Training or Injury section NOT the General section, a thread will not get answered better or quicker if it is in Gen Con than the Injury section as all posts no matter where they appear on the recent posts part of the forum.
So to repeat myself and for the slow ones amongst us DO NOT POST IN THE WRONG SECTION!!!!! if you do it will not be moved it WILL be deleted as will the thread you then put up asking why it was deleted.
Just to make it easier for you all, when a thread is deleted 99.9% of the time the MOD responsible for deleting the thread will be ME.
Again for the slow learners amongst us.....
Do not post questions in the GEN CON section if you want advice about the following
    Training
    Injuries
    Diet
    PEDs
    Supplements
thread with the subject line about toilet frequency etc (this is a personal one for me, no place for it on a BB forum)
or any other subject where there is a section for that subject.
    So to end all confusion
Your thread has been deleted for BEING IN THE WRONG SECTION
Your thread was deleted by (most likely) PSCARB

Pscarb reacted to swole troll in Banned members takin the p*ss out of admin and the mods
Well here's the thing, even though creating a new account as a banned member is prohibited and can result in an instant ban as soon as this becomes apparent, the bigger cause for concern is the reason for which you were originally banned; abusive posting, sourcing, inappropriate images, consistent derailing or trolling ect

Creating a new account MAY slip under the radar but if you resort to any of the previous reasons that you were originally banned it will bring attention back to you and we will look into previous registrations and style of posting.

Also worth remembering that anyone will incur warnings for breaching of the forum rules, so if you havn't changed your ways that got you struck off in the first place not only is it even more likely that we will become aware of who you are and ban you again but you will just end up incurring points and losing your account regardless.

The goal after all is to keep idiots off the forum, previous account holders or not.

Pscarb got a reaction from MaxMuscle in Raising Money again
    Hi guys,
I am at it again raising money for Sepsis and Kidney Disease awareness as some of you know this is something that is very personal to me, more and more bodybuilders are being diagnosed with Kidney disease these days mainly because the biggest thing that damages kidneys is Blood Pressure (Not Protein).
So raising the awareness is vital to help so many that train where increasing size is the goal.
I have written 3 recipe ebooks that I have on sale on my new website https://teampscarb.co.uk/ebooks/ they are £4.95 each or all 3 for £9.95 and 100% of the money will go to Kidney Disease and Sepsis awareness charities.
If you can guys please help me raise money to maybe help someone be more aware so they do not have to go through the hell i have been through over the last 18months.
The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs, the size of your fist, located on either side of the body, just beneath the ribcage. The main role of the kidneys is to filter waste products from the blood before converting them into the urine. The kidneys also:
    help maintain blood pressure
maintain the correct levels of chemicals in your body which, in turn, will help heart and muscles function properly
produce the active form of vitamin D that keeps bones healthy
produce a substance called erythropoietin, which stimulates the production of red blood cells.
    Causes of CKD
Kidney disease is usually caused by other conditions that put a strain on the kidneys. Often it's the result of a combination of different problems.
    CKD can be caused by:
high blood pressure – over time, this can put a strain on the small blood vessels in the kidneys and stop the kidneys working properly
diabetes – too much glucose in your blood can damage the tiny filters in the kidneys
high cholesterol – this can cause a build-up of fatty deposits in the blood vessels supplying your kidneys, which can make it harder for them to work properly
    kidney infections
    glomerulonephritis – kidney inflammation
polycystic kidney disease – an inherited condition where growths called cysts to develop in the kidneys
blockages in the flow of urine – for example, from recurrent kidney stones or an enlarged prostate
long-term, regular use of certain medicines – such as lithium and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
You can help prevent CKD by making healthy lifestyle changes and ensuring any underlying conditions you have are well controlled.
Sepsis again is another illness that is vital that people know the symptoms and this can only be achieved via awareness
    Sepsis awareness
Sepsis is a common and potentially life-threatening condition triggered by an infection which causes the body’s immune system to go into overdrive, and if it not treated quickly, it can lead to multiple organ failure and death. It claims more lives than lung cancer and is the second biggest killer after cardiovascular disease. There are an estimated 123,000 cases of sepsis per year in England and around 36,800 associated deaths. In many cases, however, sepsis is avoidable and treatable and early identification is key to successfully treating sepsis.

If you can create some resistance when lifting that is all you need to maintain muscle, most of the time the thing that negatively effects peoples physique in lockdown is bad food choices.....not lack of exercise really.

Totally agree with @Bensif on the post above, more so on the point in bold, given the shipping and handling of each batch of GH, determining the effectiveness of Chinese GH by if it has a vacuum or not seems irrelevant.
None Pharma GH is always a risk no matter what the seller says, it is not proof to good or bad the GH is by if there is or is not a vacum.

Pscarb got a reaction from Bensif in How fast do you lose what you gained
What you lose in size post cycle is down to how you put the weight on through the cycle, if like most you have a do or die attitude to getting big, then you will lose a fair amount of water and glycogen from the muscle.
The problem is people actually believe it is possible to gain 5+ kg of lean tissue on a steroid cycle   combine that will the drop in focus and commitment to diet and training when you are off-cycle results in losing a fair bit of the weight gained.
If the steroid was genuine, you eat enough protein and trained/rested properly (intensity, Sleep) then chances are from a muscle point of view you only gained 1-2kg of muscle size that is keepable, this is why it takes years (putting genetics to one side) to build a decent physique.
Just to add PCT does not preserve gains made on cycle, continued commitment to Training/Recovery/Nutrition does.
Take a listen to the latest Prep Radio podcast when we had Dr Dean StMartin on to explain about effective PCT and how long you need to leave it after your last injection before starting PCT for it to be effective (halflife x 5) it is a great listen

Pscarb got a reaction from Bensif in Why is sugar so bad?
I should point out that sugar is not addictive really as an addiction is understood (I am sure many will disagree though)
there is no reason if you are a healthy person that you cannot have sugar in your diet, but I would restrain from HIGH sugar diets.
It does not give prolonged energy so not great for daily routine or training (peaks and troughs in energy)
In general most high sugar diets are high calorie so harder to maintain a decent level of condition.
It certainly would affect your teeth unless you brush after everything you eat.
Thing is why would you eat a HIGH sugar diet or a LOW sugar diet why the extremes, it doesn't have to be one or the other, you can have sugar in your diet and still be healthy.
As for sweeteners, there is no evidence that normal amounts of sweeteners are unhealthy.

Pscarb got a reaction from Philfg in Who's itching to start dieting in the new year.
Nothing at all, Peds have no influence on the strategy to get the client lean/stage-ready.
I never said I kept dropping calories, the key is a Calorie Deficit dropping calories is not the only way to achieve this.
Because for me it makes no sense when the goal is to achieve fat loss whilst maintaining muscle tissue, going 16hrs with no protein at all, in my opinion, does not achieve the goal, weight loss is different.
I never used IF when I competed nor did a lot of my friends who competed, I never use it with my clients unless the situation warrants it, I am not saying it does not work, I am saying it is not optimal for fat loss whilst maintaining muscle tissue.
i don't use fasted cardio unless it fits with the client's lifestyle, I don't remove food groups, I don't remove diary, with some clients they only have 3-4 meals......here is the shocker i don't even use Carbs in the Post-workout meal , the reason is it is not needed in the grand scheme of things.
I do with some clients use hand portion sizes rather than tracking with Macro's or Calories again this is down to the client.
As I said before though if the way you get lean works for you then its a cool way to do things.

Pscarb got a reaction from stuey99 in Decided I'm going to blast and cruise
there are many reasons that are valid to the individual for both sides of this debate, realistically you have to choose an option that will suit your goals whilst maintaining health.
Back when I started gear (32yrs) it was Cycle/PCT/Break/Cycle and that was how it was, so I always did it that way until I was in my 40's and realised there was very little difference if I recovered plus I was competing at British/World and Universe level so my outlook changed.
If you are going to blast and cruise then make sure you cruise and not just do a mini cycle, drop the mg dose down to 100-125mg every 7-10 days of Test, just Test no tren, no orals...just Test and make sure you cruise for as long as you cycle.
Many do PCT wrong anyway, on Thursday this past week we had Dr Dean St Mart (doctorate in pharmacology) on the Prep the Series podcast, he recently spoke to the world-famous Dr Scally about his power PCT and admitted he never said to wait 2 weeks to use HCG etc, in fact, the time between the end of the cycle and starting PCT for it to be effective should be 5 x Half-life of steroid used......no show me a gear user that will wait that long.
So choose an option and stick with it
