  1. The start of my home gym

So, I made a start on my home gym. Power rack, lowered by local fabricator to fit in my low garage. Olympic Barbell and 140kg of steel weight. Bench. Bit crap but it’ll do. So far so good, a fair bit of improvising without cables or dumbbells though.
  2. Just pulling your chain Bud. I’m quite shocked that you’ve never needed it. I have the stuff stashed all over, can’t even lay on a bench without it sometimes. I think it may be more to do with plastering for 35 years or more likely, old age
  3. The only one that REALLY works for me is the DeepHeat Roll on. Don’t know what’s different, it’s just better.
  4. What are your plans for Christmas?

Whole turkey isn’t too much trouble. Pluck it and stuff it Crimbo Eve Then just have to kill it and shove it in the oven in the morning.
  5. Buying for women is frigging hard

They can never have enough Uggs, Buddy.
  6. Best joke you have ever heard

Two sausages in a pan. The first says, pheeew getting warm in here ain’t it.? The second says, fukin hell, a talking sausage..!
  7. Any helicopter pilots?

From the tiny amount of knowledge I have about light aircraft pilot licence. You need to do X amount of hours per year to keep it. Have you enquired about lessons already, Bud.?
  8. Buying for women is frigging hard

Agreed, a bit pricey but they ooze quality. Our living room looks like a fukin White Company showroom
  9. Anyone like the air and or the sea?

Trouble is, it feels so good Will defo have a cheeky cave dive if we holiday in Mexico, may even get my cavern ticket if the Mrs lets me.
  10. New addition

Great bit of kit mate. I can’t justify one in my 6m2 garage area, but use the one in the gym regularly.
  11. Buying for women is frigging hard

If she’s used to crap like this, you’ve obviously got it cracked Buddy. Edit: The Mrs has just chimed in. Body Shop Hamper. The White Company candles. Uggs.
  12. Anyone like the air and or the sea?

I dive Sidemount mate, cave system. I looked into UK cave diving, it’s 70% walking across fields for miles and 3m viz is as good as it gets. Mexico is the place to go if you fancy it mate. That’s fukin grim Mate. They must have been narked of their tits. Problem is, bravado trumps training sometimes. Sad in any case. I only go down the 35m pit once or twice pre season, just to get dived up. I get noticeably narked at 42m exactly, regardless of mix. Stoney is like the Bermuda Triangle for compass work, I always end up at the coach...
  13. I made a drunk post last night

I’m still offended, and sickened tbh, by that post of yours from 5 months ago (I forget what it was about now)
  14. Anyone like the air and or the sea?

Nemos on a sunny day, absolutely beautiful, Buddy
  15. Anyone like the air and or the sea?

Do you know Stoney Cove in Stoney Stanton, Mate.? It’s an inland divers haven
  16. Anyone like the air and or the sea?

As far as I know, the only cert you MUST have is a VHF Radio certificate, and you don’t need that if you don’t use your radio I don’t have Day skipper, but do have charts and marker buoy experience/qualification I may well take the Powerboat Dayskipper course at some point. I’m talking Rhibs and dinghies though, not yachts Good luck mate, sound like you have quite an adventure on the way
  17. Anyone like the air and or the sea?

I did Levels 1 & 2 dingy sailing, then spent quite a few hours practicing what I’d learnt, Mate. It’s crazy that anyone can buy a huge boat, power or sail, and need zero quals to go out to sea in it. It’s just mental..
  18. Anyone like the air and or the sea?

I’m a scuba diver. BSAC Advanced & OWI. I’ve dived in warmer climates (aka blue water) but much prefer UK diving, so much more apprehension and adrenaline involved, you never know how it’s going to be. Had a year out last year, learnt to sail. Also have power boat ticket. Safe to say I love the coast and the sea
  19. Pull-ups ROM

I recently set up a powerack in my garage. It has a wide grip pullup bar but the ceiling is low. When doing WG pull-ups (or any pull-up) I can only go so high, my mouth horizontal to the bar, or with my head tilted back, neck hight. Could any of you techies tell me if this ROM hits the muscle group enough.? Is there any reason not to tilt head back.? TIA
  20. Do a good deed.

I was driving to work once, I saw a pedestrian drop her phone. Long story short, I had to drive around for 10 minutes to pick it up and return it to her. Not so much as a thank you, just snatched it out if my hand. Wish I’d run the kunting thing over now... True story that hasn’t stopped me good deeding
  21. Do a good deed.

Cost you 70 quid, Buddy..! Fair play mate, good on you
