  1. Painful bicep in joint after forearm

    Hi Just wondering if I can get some advice? I've had a pain in the joint of the bicep and forearm for about 2 months. I've managed to continue with some workouts but haven't been able to properly complete any bicep sets due to the pain. Should I carry on with the exercises I can do? Also, how long does it normally take to heal? I have another issue! I've been training on and off for over 30yrs (I'm 48) and I've never really managed to increase my strength, I always just about lifted the same weights (which are max for me). During 1st lockdown I was able to train 6dys a week for about 10 weeks and then I've trained 4dys a week (although, I have to say this is not every week as I sometimes I have back pain so have to leave it a few days or a week). I've had a number of people say I should be a lot bigger for the amount of training I do. Any suggestions? Cheers Jak

    Hi, I'm not sure tbh! I've dropped to 72.7kg from 75.1 and my bf% was 23.5 on 28/05/20 and it's 21.9 at present. I was expecting to lose 1%bf a week? Today I've felt really fat and bloated and I'm wondering if it's due to me starting yesterday to take Creatine. I must admit I can't believe how much belly fat I have, especially when I'm sitting down, it really hangs over my shorts so I'm wondering how much I need to lose as if I drop much more weight I'll just look really skinny but toned above my naval and fat on my belly.

    Hi, Thanks for replying. 1)Generally it's the common 4 X 4 sets on each muscle group of between 8-10 reps, so for example, dumbbell press, press ups, dumbbell fly's, resistance band fly's etc that's why it takes over 2hrs. I would train over 6dys instead of 4 and just do an hr each day but I'm a single dad so don't train on the days when I've my daughter. 2) Haven't actually measured my waist so that's definitely something I can do (thanks for suggesting). 3) Yes, you never know that could be the problem. I'll reset them in the morn and try again, if it's the same I can exchange as only had them a few weeks. It's a shame I can't post the photos on here that I took 2wks ago and today as I've sent them to my mate, who said he can definitely see I've lost some belly fat. I suppose I was just disappointed with the readings, especially as the week before the scales said I'd lost 1.4kg and 1.1% bf.
  4. Hi, I'm male, 47yrs, I was 75kg 4wks ago, I've been on 1500cal healthy eating plan and do 4* 20min hiit and 10min ab + 2 full 2hr 20min upper body and 2 *1hr 20min lower body workouts a week. I weighed myself on the analyser scale this morn and the results on all 4 analysis (weight, bf%, water and bmi) we're the same as last week. I definitely feel like I've lost body fat and whether it's just me but can see this visually on my belly (that's the only place I carry fat as I've always been fairly skinny everywhere else!) I was wondering if anyone can explain this please. Thanks
