Multi Nausea

Right im ****ed off now, i just took 1 A-Z multivit Tablet and 1 B-vits Cap, had a bowl of cereal and a glass of cranberry juice and now the whole thing has come back up and into the toilet. Ive had this before and multi's always make me feel ill, it comes on suddenly very strong perhaps 5-10mins after taking.

Any Suggestions?

Re: Multi Nausea

some people cant stomach the bvits, they have quite a strong smell, if you have them on an empty stomach or fairly empty stomach you can feel a bit sick, what brand are they?are they strong or weak?

I sometimes feel sick if i take too many vits together, best thing to do if you feel like this is take them about 15-20 mins after eating a big meal this solves the empty stomach problem and should stop you feeling sick

Re: Multi Nausea

Thanks for the help, Their both boot's own brand and only 100% rda of each vit, so i guess weak (compared to animal or something lol), yeah maybe ill take them in the evening, seems it was probs the empty stomach that did me.

Re: Multi Nausea

100% RDA is not worth a **** to be honest mate, you probably get more Bvits in a bag of chips from the chippie, get a good multi vit, especially if your training, if you've got a load of these and dont want to waste them, definetly take some extra vitamin C 1000mg at least, good vit and wont make you feel sick

Re: Multi Nausea

Yeah i can understand that, the reason i got the b-vits was so i could dose up on them without taking too much of the other vits, could i just take like 2/3 multi's then?

Edit: Was talking crap about vit c, looked it up and ill have to grab the tub i left at home.

Re: Multi Nausea

the RDA was created in 1966 and is way way out of date i think the RDA for VitC is 60mg weird when i think the smallest amount you can get them in is 100mg..

Re: Multi Nausea

Yeah when i looked up vit c it was saying something about the tests being done not taking into account how quickly its used some something.

"40 milligrams per day: the United Kingdom's Food Standards Agency[1] "
"3,000 milligrams per day (or up to 300,000 mg during illness): the Vitamin C Foundation.[45]"
"The biological halflife for vitamin C is fairly short, about 30 minutes in blood plasma, a fact which high dose advocates say that mainstream researchers have failed to take into account. Researchers at the National Institutes of Health decided upon the current RDA based upon tests conducted 12 hours (24 half lives) after consumption."

Lols @
"Both Cathcart[41] and Cameron have hypothesized that very sick patients with cancer or influenza do not display any evidence of diarrhea at all until ascorbate intake reaches levels as high as 200 grams (nearly half a pound)."

200g's of vit c?!

Re: Multi Nausea

So I'm still a bit confused as to what %'s or MG's I should be looking for in a multi vit?

Re: Multi Nausea

theres bodybuilding multi-vits,usually more appropriate than the general public ones for bodybuilding purposes but you should be getting most of your vitamins and minerals in your diet and not need to supplement too much.but have a look,i used to use AST 32x,nowadays i just have a bag of zipvits multivits lying around,it's just cheaper.
