Board Speed - Please bear with me
Sorry about the lagginess of the board.

Im still spidering and sitemapping the entire site.

Curentally on about 30,000 out of around 150,000 pages.

Its working tho, you can see here:

We now have 27,500 links in google, where as before we only had 514!!!!

Given time this should rocket to 100,000+ and thats when things get interesting

paul you have to forgive my ignorance
but why do we need all our posts on google?

Wouldnt just a link to each and every one of our forums on the board have done it, i know it must be about attracting members or guests, but other than that im a bit bewilldered?

Can you explain it to me, sorry for being a pain.

The more of the pages I get spidered, the more teams uk muscle will have linked to it.

I.e "Body building" if all pages are spidered, then, there must be what, 10,000's of referances to it here, so when someone searches for that term on google, the more the spiders found on that page, the higer up the rank it will be, so, more visable to the public, so more traffic.

If only a few basic pages are spidered (like before) then we done cover all the keywords associated with every day searches on body building, etc and fail to appear even in the top 20 results page.

Is that clear enough?

i love the idea of the forum getting much bigger but i have always said it....a forum getting too massively big takes the character away from it. Some bodybuilding forums have such a redicilous amount of members you feel isolated and weak when you browse it. Saying that....the more the people the more the knowledge and theories and thats a good thing!
