the price is well worth it

it should recieve more coverage from the media

the lads who are in this game are absolute warriors and far far advanced in their training than boxers

if they got the coverage then there would be some better funds for the fighters cos they deserve better

How can you say that when as a sport its still relatively new here? None of the fighters are household names its not as if its the " UFC " on tour now is it, i have lots of respect for the guys who do this, the dedication and single mindedness required to become a success is huge, they deserve all they get.

You can take in a football match / world boxing title for the same or slightly less than what is being charged at that event, granted the seats might not be ringside but you can still do it. One good thing that has been said is that some of the fighters will get something from it.

the lads who are in this game are absolute warriors and far far advanced in their training than boxers Dunno about that mate?they have pretty much no rules and can fight however they want to beat an opponent..however both boxers only have their 2 hands to overcome eachother... no grappling on the floor, no submissions, kicks etc....

boxers also use their heads elbows shoulders forearms i know these are against the rules but they are still taught and still used to effect!

yes you can take in a football match or a boxing match for less john but thats all down to ticket sales the more that is sold the cheaper they become

i still think £25 is a fair price for some non stop action of real fighting!

One of my close friends is a cage fighter and fights over in Japan in the Pride tournaments.

His training is very hard and the amount of effort he puts in deserves being paid for.

The reason why ticket prices are quite high is the lack of sponsorship in the sport.

big unc, i wouldnt say far advanced than boxing, as they tend to use a lot of boxing drills for there stand up game, but they do have to cover all aspects of the game i.e stand up, grappling and on the mat

but the price is a big expensive, the promoters will be milking it cos like what john said it is a new sport, and most ppl want to see blood guts

and when you think only the pro fighters will tet a very small percentage of the takings for competeing( most of the time under 500 per fighter, then you got to think they will only be a few professional bouts on the fight card

the money paid out to the fighters is nothing compared too what the promoters take home at the end of the night

SPOT ON , and probaly deserves getting paid more

at the end of the day he will go home with a one off cheque for training for a couple of months, fighting on one night and risk getting injured

IMO the promoters dont gie the fighters enough respect in terms of pay for what they do

some people would do it for free just to receive part of the training

MMA is advanced imo mate

a boxers trains to fight a boxer
a cage fighter trains to fight anything
