Just a little niggle I've got

You are not limited to the amount of words in your posts so please refrain from using shorthand text language in your posts.

This makes the post hard to follow and for those who don't understand the text shorthand makes the post unreadable.

Also when writing posts make sure that you space out your sentences as this makes them easier to read

8. Quality of language
Posts to be written in correct english - no 'txt' speak, excessive punctuation (like 30 exclamation marks) or overuse of block caps. Two reasons for this, aside from making posts hard to read, posts written in this manner aren't accessible for members using the forum search facility or by Google. It also lowers the standard, perceived quality and integrity of the forum.

9. Caps Lock
Posts with a subject and/or all content written entirely in uppercase will be removed.

take it the dig was sort of aimed at me tiny. the other thing ok, but come on fella. take a chill pill. no one writes as bad as your puttin. i put 2 text words in a paragraph. you pmt'in or oxy'in this morning BOSS! go easy. this site isnt abused like many. have a protein shake and you'll calm down. LOL

It's not aimed at anyone in particular and I've already spoke to you on a PM about this so why are you bringing it up on the open forum?

Like I said, there's no reason to degrade the quality of your posts by using text shorthand as this makes it hard to read and degrades the quality of input on the site.

It's clearly stated in the member's rules about quality of language and although I'm not in the business of lecturing people on their grammar or spelling, the fact that it is now becoming so prevalent on posts to use text shorthand I felt it was necessary to bring it up.

One or two instances is OK but a whole paragraph full of m8,spk,txt,sumting, etc just looks awful and is difficult to read. If you want to say something then take the time to address it clearly because people will just ignore it.

Can we include the use of 'lol' on this issue?

Maybe it's my age, but it's still shorthand & is used far too often.

I think if we all post speaking proper English, 'like wot the kween do'

then bodybuilders & strength athletes will come accross as the intelligent people that we are on the whole.

Call me an old fa*t if you want but I think the English language is being eroded at an alarming rate.

LOL is an acceptable shorthand mate. same as LMAO, ROFL etc.

but wen peeps rite lik dis it looks lik a skoolboi klub.
