looking around £6000 for private operation only

add physio on top and it starts getting silly

It is steep mate but I'd sack the physio off I'm sure if you done a bit of research into it you could prescribe the right exercises for yourself.

Wait for a physio up here is usually only about 6 weeks anyway.

its completely different operation and one is privately paid for as its cosmetic

for gyno surgery the incision is around the nipple whereas pectoral repair is just above the arm pit

Missed that sorry.

How can they consider it non urgent if you are only getting back between 56% and 96% for that wait.

That's like not saving someone's leg given the opportunity.

You might be lucky though and get one quick.

Are you going to hassle them about it, see if you can speed it up?

Or what about doing some sponsored thing to raise money for private or like a go fund me page or something?

I feel like it's a bit of duff hand you have been dealt. I can't imagine what you must be like.

That seems so glum. Even if you can't lift at the moment do you coach or anything, Just something to get you in the gym?

We're all with you here.

It's harsh now, but fluff is better than a beer and the couch.

One question though:

Are you gonna continue b&c or you coming off for the time being?

Peps are unbelievable for recovery.

Especially the ipam mod combo.

Fixed my rotor cuff partial tear from a drunken arm wrestling injury within 4 weeks.

Post op you'll notice the difference.

I'd even start them a couple of weeks to a month before so they kick in by the time of the op.

I'm sure you have a plan in place already though :)

Just read your updates ST. I'm sure it won't be as long as you fear. I've seen a couple of lads in recent years with ACL tears (rugby) on a waiting list when all of a sudden they get a phone call and it's like, can you come in for surgery on Thursday. Keep your pecker up.

Never had an op mate so only got NHS max waiting times to go by and I'm a bit of a pessimist so I assume mine will be the absolute longest wait possible lol

Fingers crossed on the 23rd

I'll post up the results

ive been waiting that long for a stage 2 ACL revision, I now need an osteotomy.

My advice would be to keep on them constantly, and go straight to PALS if they look like they will run over their 18 wk RTT mate.

Saying that mate, the last two consultants Ive had have retired before id been done. NHS hospitals in a black bed state, emergencies are pushing elective surgeries back and back and back.

I really dont mean to piss on your chips pal, bc I know youre prob feeling s**t anyway, just trying to give you the heads up bc when I got f**ked over by them it knocked me for 6 and I was feeling well sorry for myself.

Id say just to make sure the consultant has no plans to retire and, although it sounds a bit wanky, just play the victim a bit. Exaggerate how its effecting your life etc and like I said, hit up PALS asap if they start fu**ing about.

So got woken up by some astounding news this morning, it was the hospital ringing me to say that I am to go nil my mouth from midnight 22nd Jan and come in at 1100 on the 23rd for reattachment surgery

Winning

Here's pic update from this morning, really disappointing injury in terms of external visual but then the owner of my gym completely detached his pec and said he had no change in color whatsoever
