You can also throw them in the oven and bake them. It does take around 90 mins at the same temps you would bake a potato.

Bit of both for me , same as normal spuds, start off in microwave to part cook them then bang them in the oven for a nice baked skin

Always avoided them cos they are so bloody ugly, but time to man up lol :D

People tell me all the time that they cant imagine them without brown sugar and marshmellows (a very american way of eating sweet potatoes). However, i find them almost too sweet with nothing on them.

Also, doesn't boiling them cause some of the vits and mins to be lost? Similar to vegetables? Just curious?

Yeah, cut them into slices after pealing, boil until you can put a knife in, they don't need to be super soft.

Prob 5-10 min, never timed it TBH.

i just put 1 in the oven now choped in slices where nice i had them plan had them with beef green beans and banna was nice mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well if you want some nice crispy roast sweet potato boil them, then stick them in a pan with some olive oil. Will take a while to cook but taste like heaven.

Not too sure how healthy it is though with that much oil.
