Finally Found it - The Ultimate Shake

Hey Gang

Well, after years of trying different protien powders, mixtures, weight gainers, etc, i think ive finally found the best tasting protein mixture!

I have tried Extreme Proformance Mass - Strawberry and Banana before, and that was beautiful, but yesterday I also got some Extreme Performance Whey from them too.

I mixed them together in the blender with some milk, blended and my god - It really was the best tasting shake I have ever tried in my life.

I would go so far as saying, it was probably the best milk shake I have ever had in my life, protein or stuff from the supermarket!

They are both very nice seperate, but I really would recommend mixing the two together for the ultimate shake!

So I made a shake with the following:

500ml Semi Skimmed Milk

100g Extreme Performance Mass

40g Extreme Performance Whey

5g Glutamine

5g Creatine CEE

This gives you the following:

Milk: 240 Cal / 16.5g P / 25g C / 8g F

Mass: 391 Cal / 35g P / 52g C / 4g F

Whey: 190 Cal / 30g P / 5g C / 2g F

Totals:

821 Calories

81.5g Protien

82g Carbs

14g Fat

Its a pretty big shake, obviosuly not used for cutting, but is an idea PWO shake - Infact, you could go as far as saying it actually has to few carbs for a PWO shake!

I had it again with my breakfast this morning :)

Tonight, i`ll be having the same, but dropping the milk for water, as i`ll be shooting insulin with it, and dont want the additional 8g of fat from the milk.

Best tasting I've had would probably have to be BSN's Syntha 6. All three flavours are good but vanilla was my favourite. Downside is the high price. If that stuff were £31.99 for a 5lb tub instead of a 2lb one it would be one of the top selling proteins on market, not a doubt in my mind.

well, i guess it depends on the size of you. i did read somewhere an average size man can digest 50/60g of pretein every 2 hours.

also, i dont know if paul is on gear or not, but if he is why not make the most of protein synthesis(sp)

I dont think so personally.

Im touching 234lb again at the moment (17st).

If it is to much, im not really bothered to be honest - As long as Im getting enough - Id rather over shoot protein than get to little.

the whole protein intake is a minefield :)

most studies quoted were done on non training average weight people... pretty useless.

The protein used als makes a massive difference to how much can be used.

80g of whey isolate on an empty stomach could be too much, but not a shake like that that will have an absorbtion/digestion rate of a couple of hours.

We're designed as hunter-gatherer's, animals didnt walk past every two hours weighing thirty grams each lol

John B suggest's that half the total intake of protein can be consumed PWO.

I did think that was interesting.

But for me I only have 1 shake a day and that is PWO.

No training no shakie.

Id prefere you only had one of those shakes paul.

Id prefere you only had one of those shakes paul.

Which would mean trying to take in an additional 1,600 calories / 160g protein a day hacks in solids.

Something I am physically unable to do.

with respect paul, you say you only have 1500 cals from solid food. Is there any possibility you can up this?

What do you eat (solid food) and at what times?
