Dumbbell rows leaning on bench?

6 posts in this topic

There was a fella in our gym last night doing mini dumbbell rows with a heavy enough weight whilst leaning on a utility bench.

The bench was set really high so he wasn't exactly lying on it.

He was doing dumbbell rows, but with a much smaller range of motion than you would get with a regular dumbbell row.

Would he be doing this as a precaution to protect his back, or is it a slightly different exercise?

Il have to try them with an ez bar! Sounds good! You can still build thickness without compromising lower back!
