Hi all I have suffered from low testosterone for years and im on a prescription called Tostran Gel the trouble is because it is a gel, messy and takes time to soak into the skin I rarely use it, I was wondering what other medication options would be available to me and if they are better than the gel, at the time I was told that the gel was best because it keeps your body at a constant TT level as long as you take it daily, I was told that injections would send me into mood swings due to only taking monthly injections so the TT level rises after injection and then drops until next injection.

Well i would much rather inject once a month than apply the gel ED
Yes mate there's nebido injection, which is a long acting testosterone which is used only four times per year for stable blood levels, I'm on it myself but every 8 weeks and quite like it, it may take a few injections to feel the full effect.
self precribe yourself sustanon lol
as already stated you can ask to switch to nebido injections, tbh you should not get any 'mood swings' on injections once the interval is right , i found tostran absorbs alot quicker if you mix it with some pure aloe vera gel (rub the tostran in then bang that on top right away) , by using the gel 'on and off' you will not be doing yourself any favours as your body wont know wtf is going on
Also does nebido injections benefit you when bodybuilding ?
yes i started on tostran gel then switched over to nebido (over a 3 month period the gel gave eczema ,i presume from the alcohol in it ) , the gels work alot faster than injections and seem to affect the sex drive quicker , my nebido shots are still being monitored and changed (recently gone from 12 to 8 weeks) , like haza a nurse at my GP's does them (sticking 4ml into my ass on my own does not appeal to me :P ) ,
you know when the shot is running out as you get a return of the old symptoms -nebido is very slow acting and it takes a few shots to get your blood lvls up -as its shot interval is 8-12 weeks it takes a long time to get the lvls right tho to me its less hassle then the gel.
if you already have a dx of low test and get medication there should be no need for you to self medicate , there are many things that need to be monitored on TRT and you need an endo /uro on your side to work with you , if you are not happy with the one you have then simply change them, some are alot better than others in the NHS , unfortunately the good ones are far and few in the UK.
I currently just have a monthly repeat prescription of tostran, I don't have any reviews at the docs or any blood's taken to monitor my level, should I be going to my gp and asking to see a specialist then?
I cycle 2 weeks test/boldone/ then 2 weeks 2xtestogel/day and use proviron mon-fri it seems to be working nicely.
With self TRT sustanon I'd just do 1ml every 10 days
