![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Vervefan asked "First of all, why do other people put melted bones in protein bars". The thing with melted bones and animal skin is it gives you a substance we all know as gelatin which is classed as protein, from what I've recently read it is not bioavailable to the human body. When you start considering things like CJD then gelatin is not a good option. Gelatin is used to bind protein bars, it also helps when the company lists it protein content too! It is also the most common binnding agent used to make capsules to hold the contents of things like amino acid caps and even vitamins together. Some companies use gum, again not something the human body can use at all, so why are companies claiming to sell "nutritional supplements" promoting products which are not good or could even be detrimental at worst. Before anyone picks me up on it our aminos and glutamine complex are in gel caps, this is one of the things I am looking at changing next year. I will say our aminos blow the socks off EVERYONE elses for price so that is how I will justify them for the time being, the other companies are mostly using gelatin caps too even though they are twice as expensive. |
