METHYL PYRUVATE

METHYL PYRUVATE, anybody heard of this or tried it?

It is brand new and very expensive.
I just started taking it, it came highly recommended by a health pharmacist.

Actually found a readme, and the guy said there was zero information on this new product

The food we eat is oxidized to produce high-energy electrons that are converted to a molecule called adenosine tri-phosphate, or ATP. Let's break down each of the steps so you can see how food turns into ATP energy packets and water.

The food we eat must first be converted to basic chemicals that the cell can use. Some of the best energy supplying foods contain sugars or carbohydrates. Using bread as an example, the sugars are broken down by enzymes that split them into the simplest form of sugar, which is called glucose.

Once inside the cell, glucose is broken down to make ATP in two pathways. The first pathway requires no oxygen and is called anaerobic metabolism. This pathway is called glycolysis and it occurs in the cytoplasm outside the mitochondria. During glycolysis, glucose is broken down into pyruvate. We need to continue the breakdown process with the Kreb's cycle inside the mitochondria in order to get enough ATP to run all the cell functions.

The whole idea behind respiration in the mitochondria is to use the Kreb's cycle to get as many electrons out of the food we eat as possible. These electrons (in the form of hydrogen ions) are then used to drive pumps that produce ATP. The energy carried by ATP is then used for all kinds of cellular functions like repair, growth and production of dopamine.

What is methyl pyruvate? Methyl pyruvate is a methyl ester of pyruvate, created when additional carbon and hydrogen molecules have been added to the pyruvate molecule. These additional molecules allow ingested methyl pyruvate to enter the cell for effect, in contrast to ingested pyruvate, which cannot enter the cell.

How can methyl pyruvate help me? Methyl pyruvate will provide instant energy without glycolysis, because it is downstream of glycolysis and therefore ready for transport into the mitochondria (the body's furnace) and create ATP. Remember, the cells that produce dopamine require ATP to do so.

Do I need Methyl pyruvate? Yes, even in a perfect world, with a perfect body and perfectly functioning cells methyl pyruvate still offers additional benefits. Cells have the ability to sustain their life and repair themselves while operating in concert to perform their specific functions in support of the body. However, this requires constant energy (ATP) on demand, exactly where it is needed - or cellular system impairment and thus, cellular damage occurs. We know this damage and impairment as ageing and disease.

Why can't I get enough energy from the food I eat? In Parkinson's disease as in ageing there is often an event that occurs in the cell called the glycolytic blockade, which creates impairment in the ability to initiate the Krebs cycle and produce energy. As a result the cells cannot produce energy at a level needed to create dopamine; rather the limited energy created is used to merely sustain the cell's life.

Could'nt resist to post this too

In tests with college athletes, EnCell has been shown to increase energy sufficiently to greatly improve both running time and weightlifting capacity. In one double-blind, placebo-controlled study, those given EnCell over a two-week period gained an improvement in running time that was three times that seen in those given the placebo, as well as three times the improvement in lifting repetition capacity. There are also many anecdotal reports that those given EnCell are able to work out harder and still recuperate more quickly, both of which could be invaluable in any fitness workout. Such improvements could not only benefit those who need to be more capable of physical and mental task.
EnCell could provide an added boost to energy that could increase overall performance and endurance.
