Apple Cider Vinegar - UK-Muscle Body Building Community

I've seen this recommended by a lot of people (including Sly Stallone, Shaun Davis and USN on their diet plans). Looking into it there's not much conclusive proof to its worth or lack of it.

Its been used for medicinal purposes since 3000BC. Its believed to be a natural antibiotic and a cure for many ills. Amongst the uses claimed for it are:

- cures food poisoning
- lowers cholesterol due to the pectin contained in it
- increases the burning of fat for energy both from food and bodyfat stores, therefore aiding fat loss
- keeps the body at the correct ph level for optimal health
- boosts immune system
- even recommended for anti aging by some gurus

All sounds good. Unfortunately it tastes like vomit though...

Anyone here use it? or have any information/views on it? Can anyone recommend how to make it taste less rank?

think small amounts in key foods... in other words as a seasoning. I use it in my diatia quite a bit. But to take it as a supplement... ick.

I wouldnt want to spoil my food with it to be honest. Its 'orrid. Would rather down it neat and get it over with. One site I've been on recommends mixing 1 tsp with 1tsp of honey in warm water..

So chef - do you recommend cider vinegar then? What is its role in your diatia?

silentbob, its one of those things that if you don't like it, drop it. If you can tolerate/like it in your food, use it. Its benefit is not good enough to outweigh not liking the taste. IMO

just got some of this in capsule form from asda, can you take whilst bulking?

cant see a reason for it not bein ok for bulkin.. shud be fine, infact shud help keep the bulk lean as it aids fat loss but not to a noticeable extent i shud think.

its very useful just before a heavy meal, i find it helps digestion no end.
