![]() | Flaxseed oil-save it for the cricket bats Thought I'd try it as I've heard many good things about it. Have I been naiive in buying the oil and not capsules? Surely no-one can stomach this stuff or is there a trick I don't know about to make it palatable? I'll be using whats left to preserve my cricket bat otherwise! |

| Getting HUGE! | The best (what I personally use) is fisol by Natures Way But Costco has the best fish oil per dollar here (USA) at $7 for 300 caps. Most fish oils are the same, the content rating is almost identical and almost none contain heavy metals as scammed by another company and caught onto by others and pushed. GNC brand is fine ect ect |

This guys was taking in 20 caps a day. I thought that odd myself but then do the math of how much fats we eat and which ones are best. Remember the optimal amounts of Omega-3 to Omega-6 fatty acids is from 1/1 to 1/4 That is one part Omega-3 to one part Omega-6 to one part Omega-3 to 4 parts Omega-6 fatty acids. So lets say you are having a salad with vegetable oils and vinegar then the ratio would be way off. Vegetable oils contain mostly Omega-6's and off of the top of my head im not sure then contain any Omega-3's, with the exception of flaxseed oil, Canola oil, hempseed oil, virgin Olive oil, grapeseed oil. But alot of these oils are processed with chemicals and heat, which destroy much of its linolenic acid. The ratio for the typical American diet is one part Omega-3 to 10-25 parts Omega-6. So it makes sense that taking 12 or even more would be required to ballance out the Omega-3 defeciancy. Omega-3 deficiencies are linked to decreased memory and mental abilities, tingling sensation of the nerves, poor vision, increased tendency to form blood clots, diminished immune function, increased triglycerides and "bad" cholesterol (LDL) levels, impaired membrane function, hypertension, irregular heart beat, learning disorders, menopausal discomfort, and growth retardation in infants, children, and pregnant women.
