best value Creatine.

I have tried Cell-Tech and it was good. I got stronger and was not even using it properly. I was trying to lose weight and I was only having it on days I trained:o . But it is too expensive. But I am getting a little frustrated at slow progress and want to try creatine again for a few months.

what creatine product do you use? Is it any good? What is the best value for money? (as I am skint)

I currently use a generic CEE from discount-supplements. £47 for 1kg (that's 350-500 servings).

Creatine is creatine, just buy the cheapest, cycle it 2 on 2 off and drink it with grape juice, job done!

I'm not so sure about that. A recent study was done that indicates that the amount of sodium left in some brands of creatine is several hundred times higher than other brands. It referred to the fact that pure creatine does NOT cause ANY bloat - and that any bloat people see from creatine is actually a poor quality brand that's not removed all of the sodium.

thanks Big

Hmmm, we use creatine in many of our studies at the university and tbh we just get the cheapest. I am sure if there was contamination the lecturers would have said so. I will have to look into this...

you got a reference for that study?

Like big said I have read that a lot of Creatines are only about 90% Creatine and the other 10% is made up from sodium and other stuff:( . Can't remember where I read it though I read that many web pages.
What does anyone think of Chemical Nurition Pro Creatine?

I read today that creatine may cause hairloss. Any theories on this? I am already losing my hair. I don't want anything that could possibly make it worse.

I am fairly sceptical about this, it could just be more industry hype trying to justify their inflated prices and discredit their competitiors.

I am sure they are required to label contamination such as sodium on the label as 10% sodium would be harmful to health if you were to front load 25g per day (another industry hype) that would be 2.5g pure Sodium! nearly maximum RDA. Sodium as a food additive MUST be listed on the label so if the lable says pure creatine mono, then that is most likely exactly what it is, regardless of the price.
